Seeds to Weeds : Live & Learn Organic Edition👨🏼‍🌾📝

Yo @DirtySlowToes looks like they are ready to start dropping any second haha.

So this is the point where you would chop that branch off and stick it in a cup of water with parchment underneath?

Yup that’ll work! They will drop more if left on the plant but they will still definitely drop enough to use doing the cup method. And you’ll want to separate out plant bits and dry the pollen before storing but you probably know that.

Yes sir i got a screen for going on frying pans so the grease dont splash out so i can rig up a pollen can!

I really dont need much pollen, i would imagine .5g should be more than enough for a lower bud site pollination

@seeds2weeds ; Buddy, you are rackin’ em up and knockin’ em down in here!
Your Wolf Caps and Gelato are both downright purty. Lots of learning and sharing going on in your thread, and it’s all greatly appreciated.

Wow what a unique feeling it is to get a compliment like that on my grow! Thank you so much!
Really that felt awesome reading that :+1:t2::man_farmer::green_heart:

Thanks again! I really hope people can learn from my experiences. The trick is to never give up and stay really patient.

Haha man am i nuts! On my lunch break today I decided to hit a dab and fuck with the males. Horrible thing to do on a lunch break timewise. First branch I cut pollen flew all over my fucking thumb and I got immediately overwhelmed. I sounded like a lunatic you would find on a corner somewhere talking to himself :exploding_head::face_with_spiral_eyes:

Anyway, I had to roll and I got like five branches in a cup sitting on parchment paper in the 2 x 2 and I also got the plants sitting over the parchment paper so hopefully it falls onto it.

Oh yeah, and I forgot the best part! During my fit of lunatic Rage, I broke the ultimate rule into the long room after directly handling pollen, and not even washing my hands! Of course the flower tent was wide open!

@DirtySlowToes pollen collection can be quite a task when the goal is to keep pollen from going airborne :joy: is that even possible?

consider just using plain old h2o now to harvest. kind of late to make changs ?? been growing ow for many, many years and have never considered PH If you are to grow organic use this product for all insects, mold, ect "Lost Coast Plant Therapy? it’s organic also - go to site and get a sample of $5.00 this stuff works - with organic good to have this

Haha oh man. I feel you pain there. Best thing to do is spray your flower plants by the door with plain water and shake them off. If it’s far enough away and there’s no air flow in the lung room, maybe you’ll be alright.

Is it possible to keep it from going airborne? Haha not really. Best to just stay in the tent or be in a different room and be super deliberate. Lol or be in an area with controlled/no airflow. Hah rooting for you. If it just fell and wasn’t being blown, I think there’s still hope. Maybe close the flower tent door before messing with it next time! Lol

I have the males on another level. I unzipped them just enough to get my two arms in there, the problem was i got all flustered and angry and marched to the leaf can and thats in my flower room. So technically i may have had some pollen on my hand and or clothes while i was angry marching. The lung room has airflow so if i had any on me it went airborne lmao. Oh well i need to stop sweating the small stuff man before i go nuts forreal

Ill figure it out. I might just have to figure it out the hard way haha

Haha oh yeah oh yeah I remember that. Well, hopefully it blew off and stayed upstairs.

Ive had plants herm and drop pollen and i got seeded buds but they were no where near as bad as i expected. I would imagine this cant be as bad as that (even tho it wasnt all that bad)

Okay seriously i need to chop these things in half!
This weekend im going to find out the lowest nodes and chop em down.

Lots of moisture getting trapped on leaves and now i noticed some scorched spots from the water

looks like you got some ferts drops on your leaf there.

ya get the deed done over there start with the upper fan leaves do like 4 every other day on each plant. look at it like cleaning the upper level exposing the middle and lower levels.

mine get pulled out and i just stand over them look down the center and just start making gaps. do not over do it and do not go to fast, time is on your side here.

good luck …

Thanks for stopping by @JAWS :shark: :fire:

Im actually surprised by how much of a beating these plants have withstood :exploding_head: ive chopped, supercropped, and snapped countless branches and they seem even more eager to grow. Some of the supercrop bends have even straightened all the way back out haha.

The Chunky pollen is from me, scraping it off of the Business card I used to scoop it up. I got out as much material as I could with tweezers

The pollen is now in a silicone 1 gram dab container with the lid on while i shower. Thinking i should throw a grain of rice in there and keep it closed or what guys?

ok this is a big nonono brother, never do that with fresh pollen, pollen is still has moisture in it so piling it up like that is a sure way to cause mold and or just straight up kill your pollen.

always let it sit for 18-24 hours until dry then you can place it into what ever container your using. i always use parchment paper never wax paper easy to fold over and dump into your containers. wax paper will work as long as your not CRAPPING it up just dust onto the paper dry overnight then fold then dump into your containers. i only use this method when using the thump tech, i mainly just hand harvest all my pollen, it takes longer but its pretty clean and does not need much cleaning prier to drying.

that’s is some pretty dirty pollen my friend, you see those clumps ahh ya you want NONE of those in your pollen. that’s from crapping your causing more heat/moisture to collect and then your pushing into a bigger pile where the moisture will continue to kill your pollen.

just saying …
