Shipping clones: is oxygen neccesary?

Rooted clone in a plug or cuttings? Do not send bare root what ever you do, way too delicate. Fresh cuttings actually last longer, but rooted clones ship fine as long as it’s quick.
If you’re sending a plug/rockwool/peat pellet in a bag, I would also secure a thin stick like a skewer or something to the plug end (chop sticks from take out work well). I’ve wrapped them in with the paper towel with the plug, or even just tape it to the length of the rolled up bag, making sure the plug is gently but securely wrapped to the stick so it won’t slide in the bag if dropped on it’s head.

Here’s how I’m packing cuttings, rooted clones just skip wet paper towel, just make sure the rock wool/rooter is moist. Make sure the cutting fits lengthwise into the bag [image] Damp but not dripping paper towel around the cut stem [image] Plastic wrap [image] Roll so the zipper of bag acts like a spine, leave a bit of air in the bag. I use tape to keep the bag rolled up. [image] [image] Place them into another bag, add some padding material into the box [image]
