Smokenhike Grows Again

Still early, but that Cali O is looking ladylike.

These Blockhead x Mikado and Triple Spice, not so much. :scissors: :scissors:

One of the Haffas was all branchy like that too.

Fingers crossed female!

I like that you used a sharpie to label the containers. I use labels but don’t take them off after so mine all have multiple labels with different strain names on them.

There are a couple other triple spices being grown outdoors this season so maybe we’ll get some nice feedback.

Your way is better.

Also, I just rinse mine out and pop them in the top rack of the dishwasher after a run. Good as new.

Those are some bushy little plants looks great.

Same. Sometimes I clear them off with iso, but why bother ?

First batch into hempies. I’ve spent more on a single pot than what I paid for all of them.

Left to right, all F:

  • Blue Sunshine x LSD
  • Triple Spice
  • Blockhead x Mikado
  • Cali Orange
  • Silver Mountain

OGers, think they’re all F.

C99 Males.

Sour Bubble

Coastal Blueberry

Weird Cali Os

It’s too much, I need to make some selections.

I’ve also use the (F?) move. I also put a tiny dot on it to denote the most vigorous when they’re small. It can he harder to tell, maybe, later, but I do it anyway.

It’s also memories. “I remember 4 years ago when I grew that shishkaberry, that was fun.”

It all looks really good, healthy happy.

The hempies: perlite bottom Promix top and aluminum tray as a res and bottom watering? Ive never used them but it looks like a cool move. Low maintenance.

I expect that mini freak CaliO is first in the chop list.

Lookin good in here bro :grinning:
Can’t wait to watch the flower show, been a minute since I’ve seen some BHxMik :face_with_monocle: lol

Yeah, a bit late to the party on BHxM. Looks good so far and smells amazing.

The hempies just have a drain hole around the top of the perlite and that’s it. Top watering fills up the perlite part until it runs out the hole. Oh and it’s coco. Might get me an extra day or two between watering if I don’t let them get too big?

Flipped. All F except the C99s, and the weird Cali O is TBD.

Mutie Cali O is doing great considering it was just a deformed blob at the start.

This Sour Bubble always catches my eye, cool looking plant. Stocky with huge fans.

Need to grab some clones soon thinking about a sensi run after chucking.

20F I saw some pollen drop today. When both males are dropping I’ll give them a shake in the 4x4.

They’re pretty happy in the small hempies. Every other day I’m feeding Jack’s A and Epsom at 100% with Calnit at 80%. Lights are only at 75%.

The other Cali O was male, chopped him but kept a clone for future seed making.

33F. Seeds are forming and the males are about ready for compost.

4x4

Cali O

Triple Spice

Sour Bubble

Short OGer

Blockhead x Mikado

Pretty much on autopilot now. BSxLSD, BHxM and one C99 male aren’t happy with the feed, rest are OK.

I have rooted clones of almost everything except OGers and Triple Spice which are just starting to think about throwing roots after 25 days in the bubble cloner. Lazy bastards!

Thanks for stopping by.

Your gonna like the block head x mikato . I sure enjoy it probably in my top 3 strains I’ve got .

High praise, can’t be easy to get into that top 3. Smells great so far, going to have to run it again sensi.

She’s a regular in my garden .All my friends ask got any more of that block head?

Well it’s the end of week 7. 4 weeks pollinated, seeds are getting there.

First the bad. I wanted to be more lazy so I switched to Maxibloom then this happened…

Whoopsies. Back to Jack’s.

The lights are turned down to half and I’ve only been watering every other day by hand.

Anyway I found the good camera and tried to get some nice shots of the seeded buds.

Cali O

This thing has the longest petioles I’ve ever seen, they hang like vines

Sour Bubble, doesn’t mind a bit of abuse…

OGer

Blockhead x Mikado

Silver Mountain

For the next round of clones, I’m going Gaia + Promix in bigger pots with less plants. Should be a better showing.

Sick of this grow, so down it comes in week 9 seeds ready or not. Crashed at the end again.

Cali O

OGer, you can tell this one got trimmed towards the end of the session haha…

I saw some mature seeds, probably not as many as I hoped for.

Sour Bubble had beautiful fat dense nugs that are way bigger than they had any right to be on such a small plant. But they are absolutely filled with mold :sob: Everything else is clean.

Low light weirdo reveg clones.

I liked how OGer, Cali O, Silver Mountain, Blockhead x Mikado grew & trimmed. Is it worth running those again properly if I like the smoke, or is it time to move on to new things  Cali O F3s will probably happen at least.

Ordered some packs from Mandala on sale. Pretty excited, that’s one on my growing bucket list from back in the day like BOG & Peak Seeds were. Wouldn’t mind getting some KC Brains as well, always been curious about those I’ll probably put in an order at Hemp Depot along with some other odd things I’ve had my eye on.

Looks good. 9 weeks is probably close enough.

Shame about the mold. That’s a bummer.

I rarely run the same thing twice but I do try to save some seeds so I can if the mood suits me.

What did you order? For purchase I’d be most interested in hard sativas so I can find males and make seeds with earlier flowering stuff. That’s the thought anyway.

Went for Satori and Hashberry because I recognized them from back in the day, and Beyond the Brain because the marketing was good.

Got my eye on these, dunno if they’re still worth growing in 2023 but I want to get 'em before they’re gone forever someday. Might have to throw in something modern to balance it out.

KC Brains KC36, Leda Uno, Mango
Joey Weed AK & Widow
Richard Williams Back to the Congo, Williams Trainwreck

I like sativas too in theory but don’t really have the patience or skills to keep something around for so long.

Both interesting choices.

And I get the intellectual nostalgia.

You’re under no obligation to grow anything modern. I’m not.

That’s the thinking behind getting the sativa males. They dump their pollen I kill them and the seeds develop in an indica for a hybrid.

I tried the KC Brains Mango back in the 2000’s. It was very nice smoke.

Well I hope the Hemp Depot seeds are of a similar vintage. Some people say their stock is quite old but well preserved. Just finalizing the order now, Mango is on the list. Rumor has it a generous benefactor will be sending some KC Brains Leda Uno x TNR my way too, woohoo.

Tonight I’m bleaching all the things. The filter sock was filthy but I guess it did the job the fan was spotless. I put in a shiny new ($20) TURBO FORCE fan, oh wow!

Mixing up some dirt- 5 gallon fabrics, handful of castings, gallon or two of backyard compost, 1 cup Gaia Green AP, Promix…

Nothing and dirt, exciting, I know
