Smokenhike Grows Again

Yeah GG4xC99, that pheno was really speedy. Gets me bouncing around the house and keeps me up if I smoke too late. I like it like that, good for outdoor activities and it’s the easiest way for me to actually clean the house.

Nicotine withdrawal isn’t too bad this time, I’ve been tapering down for weeks. Feeling mostly human.

Wow! That one really was a C99 leaner.
Been 22 years since I had a smoke. Smoked for 27.
Stick with it. Its hard but worth it. :+1:

Can’t complain about a C99 leaner, that’s my favorite. Vaped a bunch on a 4 hour mountain bike today, riding high is an incredible rush and it kept me going when I was gassed out. Back on nicotine was getting too angry at existence, more than usual anyway. Will keep tapering and try again soon.

So anyway, plant stuff…

I changed the watering to 1 minute every 6 hours and they’re not drooping anymore. Every 8 hours was too long. Soil sensor’s constantly at 100% now, so that’s a failed experiment but I enjoyed building the crazy thing. KISS, LITFA, etc…

36 from sprout running 5.8 & 1.25EC. Been doing some light supercropping on top of the LST to fan them out more.

I think I could scale this for more plants using a corrugated roofing panel that runs off into an under-bed storage container. I looove coco but also thinking about trying DWC, and the lazy side of me just wants to do some Gaia Green & Promix again for the next run.

Getting a serious itch to pop some new beans. I’m good for smoke, maybe chuck some shit I dunno. It’s so hard to choose, how do you guys decide ?

With great difficulty, always changing my mind, Lol

I personally change something every time :grimacing:

Usually change everything every time lol… :upside_down_face:

Honestly it’s not a great thing to do probably… BUT… why get really good at one method if you already produce more than you need? It gets monotonous. I understand why someone who needed to produce X amount would do that, but if you don’t need to it could easily get boring.

If I have the time, it’s always fun to try a new method.

Not sure if you’ve ever done DWC, but if not I would definitely give it a go. It’s pretty amazing if you get through without root issues. My temps are a bit too high to run DWC without some sort of chiller so last few times I got root rot (even with Hyrdoguard or UC Roots).

I’ve thought about getting one of those 5 gallon chillers called Ice Probe, and then run a 5 gallon bucket with that. Would theoretically be easy and fun BUT those little chillers are like 150$…

Plants look great man, good luck whatever you decide!

I try not to decide until I’ve culled the weak and found the males. Then the selection begins.

Agree, half-assing a bunch of different styles keeps it interesting for me. But also respect to those who really dial it in, that’s an art.

I like this approach. But how do you decide what to pop in the first place ?

I think usually I spread the stash on a table, put back what’s not interesting at the moment, then pick whatever is left that grabs me.

Defining my goals beforehand helps. I want to make some cool hybrids” is very different from “I need to fill jars.”

Then I sit down and go through my collection one by one and make a maybe pile. Sometimes the decisions jump out at me easily and sometimes I can’t decide for the life of me and I choose not to decide until tomorrow.

Decided on PeakSeedsBC Northern Lights and @Barefrog’s G13HP for the next round. 18/20 cracked after 36 hours in the Instantpot set for yogurt. The packs are a bit older I wasn’t expecting so many.

Thinking clones in a flood table SOGish. Want to run a bit bigger population to reproduce the NL which is no longer available from PSBC since he went legal.

Also thinking I should start looking on marketplace for a tent upgrade…

If you do… trade maybe?

Definitely. If all goes well I’ll give them away here and maybe send some packs to Doug too.

Up to 19/20 cracked now, just one small G13HP holding out.

Awesome! :+1:

Yeah that’s a good one to repro for sure. I hope somebody eventually reproduces Peak’s Sweet Skunk too. I think I gave half a pack to my fam a couple years ago  wonder if they still got it.

Might be seed or two of it in that mix pack I gave you a while back.

Yeah that might be the best one to repro, I think I have 2 packs. Very interested in growing it but I haven’t because it’s reported to have a massive stretch, which I saw in Skunk Berry when it went 3x.

MikeJ told me it’s his favourite, great for energy and depression which I also saw in the Skunk Berry.

Should be manageable with clones or 12/12 from seed though ?

Pretty good week. Been keeping proper diet & exercise habits, head and blood sugar are in a good place. Wife went out of town a few days so I’m bonging hash in the kitchen

Oil capping. Thanks @Oldtimerunderground works amazing.

First bubble attempt with cheap bags and leftovers of 8+ varieties 2-3 years old.

25 meh half melts 73 melts and hits right 120 no melt hits ok. 120 is very hard, the others like a tootsie roll.

Trizzlers chugging along. Pretty hands-off, maybe 5-10 mins daily res maintenance.

NL & G13HPs popped up. Added mosquito bits and put them on 16/8, need to go slow.

After a bit of discussion now I’m thinking I’ll do these as clones but in Gaia & Promix instead of E&F. Got some vacation saved up, E&F could go sideways fast if I’m away. Less maintenance and stuff to buy too. Veg will stay in coco so its easier to keep them happy in small pots.

Got a nice deal on a 4x4x6.5 tent on Kijiji. 3x3 will go to veg and small tent to drying, clones or whatever.

Found a nice easy tool for bulk photo resizing.

Anyway, thanks for popping in.

51 from sprout on the Trizzlers. Slacked on res maintenance, burnt some tips over 750ppm.

Pistils turning on bag

Still white on jug

NLs looking pretty happy & uniform @ 300ppm Jack’s 321 over tap.

G13HPs are angry.

The kitchen seemed like a good place to clean up the new-to-me 4x4, wife disagrees. But she wasn’t here and I fixed a bunch of stuff in the house, soo…

Anyway, another good week and a nice weekend with family out in the sticks.

Just a suggestion try raising your ph up to 6.2 on those seedlings .

Thanks I’ll give that a try. They’re a bit overwatered too.
