Sour Diesel Thread

Seems like that’s the case. In an older podcast he says that this cut is the old Albany cut, but later change his story to the Philly Cut.

The original AJ is the “wing wang” isn’t it? Or did the stories change already lol

According to wing wang his cut came from aj original cut. The Albany is just as old.
Philly cut who knows

Wing wang is the first Sour Diesel cut AJ had, he found it in a few seeds that came with the weed(Underdog #2) he bought from Klopp. He sold trays of this cut in NYC. He later got hold of the Albany cut which he didn’t sell as much of, as his cut. A couple of years ago he sourced yet another cut that’s the Philly Cut and slapped, yet again, his name on it…

Three cuts, same man, same name.

Yeah that sounds exactly like what I remember.

The only guy who seems to have real provenance from the first Sour Diesel is Klopp. Everyone else’s story is very iffy. He got it from the source, shortly after it was discovered and kept it since. Plus that he had a backup that was kept since.

I know there are two versions of ajsd floating around, I’ve only tried the one pcg was selling 2018-2020ish. Is that the ‘new’ version? Anyone grow both and could comment on the differences? Sours are kind mythical to me, I have got a chance to try many varieties, my dispensary is awesome but sours don’t see their way to the shelves for whatever reason

The newer one has variegation in the leaves. The “old one” didn’t at all.

K. Confirming the pcg cut absolutely had variegation. Nice cut but not a 10/10.

Did Gaby say what his cut is? All I caught was he got it from a friend that had it for a while and they tissue cultured it.

I haven’t been able to figure out who this friend is and the provenance of that cut yet. But he’s obviously quite close with Klopp, so who knows. I’ve not seen anyone grow it out on IG either. Time will tell!

A take away from all the stories that they iterate upon and I also said it awhile ago is that when Diesel got popular, it was Underdog that was bred by Klopp.

Underdog was at a later point sold as Sour Diesel aswell. Different crews sold different clones as Sour Diesel and these clones where also traded and bought back and forth.

So the “Sour Diesel is one clone”-story is totally debulked by now and this is obviously why some of you says lemon terps and other say, straight gas. You guys smoked different clones from the same family, labeled as “Sour Diesel”.

I’m seeing it coming from far (again) : This is not the weed LonelyOC is talking about. But if you search a “lemoney SD styled” weed, it’s the kind. Not an advise, just prevention ^^

There is another one too, but it’s an oldie and i don’t think it can harm now in fake cuts or something. I think it was a Top dawg release, but i’m not sure. It just smoke like any ChemD hybrid (quite lemoney on this one too) and don’t grow at all like a SD.

A little, from what I could surmise
Uncle Doobie has beem working a seed line of Sour
And he entered and won the Sour competition ( not sure which batch, 1.5, 3.5, or the 4.5 bx ?)
Beating out all the Sour clones entered
Apparently some Sour connoisseur were in the house testing like a JJ from topdawg
