Specializing in hot peppers

A quick update on the peppers. Some are doing great. Others not so much but not giving up because some are still randomly piping up. The Poblano being the slowest so far. The "dirt roll " is experimental try at germinating tomatoes is a small area but that hopefully can be easily separated. ?? Who knows ??

That’s a cool idea!
Let us know how it goes when you transplant.

Super hots are growing fast. Surprised how resilient they are. I snapped a 1/4” of the root end on two seedlings and they haven’t missed a beat.

Yeah, it’s part of why I love growing chili’s. You can grow these things with a fucking hammer haha.

i had these in a container separate from my other seed as they were drying out in the garage. went to go find them to get my spring garden/flower planting done and discovered that a mouse/rat had it’s way with the seed. :frowning:

he won’t be coming back up here till next jan.
no peruvian aji this year…

Wow, a year old? I’m surprised they stay such a manageable size and don’t get root bound.

They look happy though.

oh. that would be way cool. thank you duo.

I saw the dirt roll on instagram this year and wanted to try it for some backup tomato seeds but never got around to it, seems like it works well!
I’ve had a few pepper seeds that haven’t wanted to pop, finally got some aji fantasy up after 3 tries, 3 seeds out of a whole pack, still no peachadew… both from refining fire chilies.
Ordered srp stripey, a jalapeno, and 1 other from them that popped fine, bad seed stock with these 2 clearly though

I’m trying to be a chilli pepper grower. 7 days since I sewed the seed and notta. Still I patiently wait…

I have seeds from my car reaper or bell pepper seeds thts about it. Just started doing peppers and mellons last year .

Yep, they’re in the spot where I usually make clones. Nice and warm. I had the dome on for the first 6 days but removed it yesterday to get some fresh air on them. I’ve read that it can take 20-30 days for some varieties to germinate so I’ll just be waiting over here.

My pleasure @Hashpants ! Please let me know if you try and germinate some, so I can compare my attempt.
