Spraying Colloidal Silver

So do I just hacksaw this thing in half?

I’d do it length wise… I’ve used just a chunk of metal on the negative (I think negative) side. It’s a bit dirtier and definetly not safe to drink. But it worked

Cut it down the length. Ideally the silver should sit about an inch from the bottom of the glass. As it generates you need to keep checking it as the silver will turn black. You need to remove the black residue from the silver or it will contaminate the solution. A green scouring pad works perfect for this. Every time you clean the silver its a good idea to check the ppm level
Edit - its also a good idea each time you generate the solution to change sides of the silver.
Edit 2 - a laser pen passed through the side of the glass and the solution will show the silver flakes in the water :+1:

Finally an excuse to bust out my laser!!!

Its trippy to watch the silver in the solution breaking the beam and reflecting back

I initially did the same but still cut one in half

Lol…I’m sure the novelty of having a little ounce of silver wears off pretty quick. At least I’ll have backup if I need one…if nothing else.

Lol I couldnt either… I might lose some chips and shavings from cutting it :o so i use a piece of wire on the negative side lol

If you ever need to sell it just change where it says “Troy Ounce” to “Slightly less than a Troy Ounce”.

wow now that is a proper explanation.

What do you guys think, is this telling me anything yet?

Anybody have an thoughts on purchasing cs is it possible is there a good brand or do i need to go all in or nothing

I have been making feminized seeds for almost seven years using CS, and I have never, not once had any of the produced seeds hermie on me. Not saying it can’t happen, but from my experience it definitely isn’t caused by reversal via CS.

I’m not speaking just of a couple of plants either. I’ve done literally hundreds of plants across at least two dozen strains.

If you can, get or build a constant current CS generator as opposed to the much cheaper constant voltage ones. The constant voltage ones tend to create much larger particles that fall out of suspension of the water.

Not yet, no.

Here’s a picture I took this morning for another thread. It’s a Sour Diesel female that is at the end of week three of 12/12. I stopped spraying about four days ago.

You’ll start seeing pollen sacks forming one or two at a time, then they start exploding as bunches.

These are all the same plant. So if you start today with one feminized seed: you too can make a handful of your own favorite feminized seeds. This was actually a regular seed that I put the top cutting into 12/12 and meanwhile the mother/ donor went 12/12 also whilst taking a colloidal silver bath twice daily. Now in a better timeline. The top cutting takes 7-10 days to root. So the mother donor gets an ethylene inhibitor and starts the conversion to produce female pollen sacs. And this is how I roll. The cutting on far right is from reversed plant for experiment.
