Great info on the light cycle. It does look like it works well. I’ll have to try this. Them buds look great for 50+ days.

I just may be trying that, myself.

Hey bud thank you, yes it appears to work well, tbh I was originally a bit reluctant to try it after vegging on 12-12 so I’m glad I did the difference is remarkable.
It’s been a very interesting year I’ve learned a lot :face_with_monocle:

For folk’s with limited space?
Looking over older posts I remembered I’ve grown and sexed plants under my canopy and they were fine.

I expect they would get leggy if left under there longer but up untill sexing at least it works ok.

I’ve still the problem of drying so I bought another clone tent for 12-12 vegging, sexing/pre flowering :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

I potted the next generation of dank last night🤞

Take it easy folk’s

My crop is 56 days today since flipping…

11-13 is great but imo it doesn’t yeild as well, each hour works out to around 8% less daylight hrs so that makes sense…that said I can grow 100% more plants when they’re compact and don’t annoy the neighbours…for the most part at least.

cool idea you have there but plums and apples are not compatible to graft… plums are a stonefruit and can only be grafted to other stonefruit (as far as i’m aware) :peace_symbol:

Hey folk’s, i harvested on Friday 60 days ± I snapped a few pics before cutting.

Being summer the drying area is a bit on the warm side with the dehumidifier running intermittently.

No dehumidifier isn’t an option.

Looks a little muggy over there. Yeah mate, dehumidifier is a must…lol

Harvest looks fantastic as always. Them look like they will be easy to trim up.

Hello folk’s it’s been a while I hope everyone is well?

I’ve been dealing with fungus gnats there wasn’t any point in moving on without eradicating them 1st.

I’ve tried bti daily, ipa, H202 and now I’m trying sealing them in the pots hence the bags, the gnats that don’t get stuck in moisture film arr easily squished.

It’s been 2+ weeks now in the bags and i can see things are looking better, yeh I’m hopeful :crossed_fingers:

Them damn gnats suck. I hope ya get them all.

Hey bud, thank you, i’m hopeful with the pots sealed up, idk why it is but they don’t appear to breed when they’re trapped?

This tester has been kept in suitable conditions for 4 weeks but they’re not breeding…yet lol.

I’m trying to sign in with another phone to share microscope pics of gnat larvae/pupae but its saying temporarily down or moved, I’ll get them later?

Some other microscope video in dark feild.

I discovered this illuminating method by accident, it normally requires oblique indirect lighting but I’m using two direct lights at a low angle.

So fungus can/do last 6+ weeks?
The bags been sealed with wire twisted tightly around it circa 6 weeks :face_with_monocle: (Edit 2nd oct)

This was in the last week or so.

Tbf they’re 90+% gone just not eradicated yet I’m still working on it ill not rest untill they’re gone.

Hey @Star_Dog , digging the experiments! :lab_coat: Looks like you’ve got rid of a lot of em. What are you finding works the best?

Wanted to let ya know about Beauveria bassiana, have you seen this out before? It’s a mycoinsecticide, works well in high humidity environments. It basically grows over a long list of pests in root and foliar systems, kinda sci-fi. :alien::spider_web: Beauveria bassiana Biopesticides Organic Plant Pest Control

Best~

Hey bud, thank you i appreciate that link, I’ve only just become aware of Beauveria bassiana it looks really effective, i checked out some microscope video of dead gnat larvea full of beauveria bassiana apparently it hunts for its victims it looks highly effective.

I think I’ve got my lot almost beat now, they’re down to 4 gnats this week out of 8/9 pots that’s without spending money or using poison so I can’t complain really i just need to keep it going a bit longer so theres no new eggs getting laid.

After dealing with fungus gnats prevention is going to be my main defense against them in future, holy moly they’re so bloody annoying.
Even being totally vigilant we only need to miss one and we’re getting infested again with gnats.

So I’ve ordered 10x of these 150 micron straining bags to keep the mums in let’s see how that goes, fingers crossed!!

Out of everything I tried isopropyl alcohol done well against adults and larvea and overspray doesn’t harm foliage, i also tried ipa as a root drench but the plant wilted and hadn’t recovered 2 weeks later hmm maybe a bit much :face_with_peeking_eye:
Those straining bags are available in 1, 2 and 5 gallons for around £1 each.

Thanks again bud, take it easy!!

Did you try the liquid bti? I had no luck with the solid dunk/bit versions. I ended up getting the liquid “Microbe-Lift BMC”
Got rid of them by adding a drop of that to every watering. As well as every other potted plant in my home. They are the most annoying insect on earth!

Hey bud I’m glad you got them under control they’re a real pain to have.
It was mosquito bits i tried they might have reduced them idk but they didn’t finish them off like I’d hoped for.

I’ve had my pots sealed now for 6/7 weeks and I’m still getting gnats hatching today
I’ve no option but to keep going with it and hope that’s the end of them :crossed_fingers:
