Strain recommendation request for chronic pain sufferer

Afghan #1 (auto) by Sensiseeds
Afghan indicas in general

The way it is decarbed has a big influence as well.

Decarb a batch of dried crumbled bud at 100 C / 212 F for 1 hr 11 mins, take half of the batch out, and let the other half go on until 2 hr 22 min, then eat 1/3rd or 1/2 of a teaspoon of each batch before breakfast.

The fibers make it slow release so you’re likely to be fine all day long.
This also creates a more balanced and clearheaded effect.
The reason is that the different decarb times create a wider diversity of cannabinoids, a wide spectrum approach you could call it. Instead of just a peak in THC you get a balance of THCa, THC and CBN.

CBN is what THC turns into when you heat it longer, it being a more sedative molecule than THC.

Because you’re eating it, your liver converts the delta-9-THC into 11-hydroxy-THC. If you’re into spirituality and numerology 9 means “peaking, blossoming”, while 11 means more balance, divinity, soul, healing, unity, harmony, the beyond.

Everything has been designed so wonderfully in this beautiful universe, this stunning creation of all that is. Master numbers are life keys. Apply them to everything.

Afghaans taken all the way to the end work well for me.

I agree with everyone saying heavy Afghans run long, my best nighttime pain and sleep strains so far have been Copa Genetics Icy Grape (Purple Skittles x 96 Sensi Black Domina) and Bodhi’s Cherry Unicorn (Fat Cherry vintage Afghan x Purple Unicorn (Chem D x Blackberry Kush)). Both taken from 65-72 days.

Afghanistan #1 keeps popping up in literature about having exceptional properties. My last “store-purchase” lol, was for these seeds from Seedsman. Afghan #1.

My pain stems from 2 damaged neck vertebrae, and Bone on Nerve jolts throughout… well everyday…

Several strings point to Sunshine Daydream as well. I’m doing a little digging.

This could become a great resource for people looking for specific needs.

Great people Here. Cheers All

@MissinBisson definitely SSDD has a lot of reports about good nerve pain relief phenos, which seems rare compared to muscular pain relief. Check out the SSDD BX1 project that @HolyAngel did to see a lot about that plant

OK !!! Thanks for that @Dirt_Wizard, hugely appreciated!

basicly you have it – one needs a 100% indica strain (pure) or a 50% AK and 50% White Widow hybrid !!! which will work well - ---- old proven strains that have been around for quite some time

@Gonzo I have a 10pk of Purple Kush you can have

Yep, Death Bubba is indeed Death Star x Bubba. I’ve kept a cut of it going for a few years now

Purple Kush can also be effective as a medication. Its powerful sedative effects can blunt some symptoms of anxiety and depression. It can also be surprisingly effective in relieving pain - both situational, like the aches that set in after a workout. In large enough doses, Purple Kush is also a great way to treat entrenched insomnia. The strain’s high is said to have an average duration of 2 to 3 hours.

Gotta Love the Classics. And the people that know about them.

Cheers Gang, nice to have a plan in place after some great dialogue, and generosity.

For gut health I’d also recommend quitting coffee and drinking organic tea instead: mint in the morning (helps with digestion) and nettle tea in the evening (helps with sleep).

And fresh organic fruit, specifically apples, daily.

Also all edible mushrooms you can get your hands on.

Along with adding herbs to your food daily; sage, garlic, nutmeg, oregano, cumin, kurkuma (turmeric), curry pastes, etc.

A little of everything, every day, goes a long way.

But positve mental attitude is perhaps most important.

Thanks it’s cool man, I just started the thread to start an ongoing list, so I could start to compile an idea of the strains I need to collect/create to help people with cancer pain. Know what to suggest etc. Looks like it got merged with this fellas chronic-pain thread… huh. All good

I might take you up on that in the future, once the charity is up & running brother :+1:

Hey lol thats where it is on the net sellers. I’m sure you could source one for the price of shipping around here…I’m just not sending or receiving right now lol, tons of people want this and mac1 caps cut. It’s nuts. Some people have said it’s hard to even source mac1

I’d love for this to be an ongoing/long-term thread where people add strains that have helped them with pain.

Please add your go-to strain/cut for dealing with pain & the type of pain it helped you (or someone you know) with. When you find a new strain that works, please come back & add it etc.

I’ll start it off.

So far I’ve found NL1 (Northern Lights #1) to have a significant analgesic effect, for both acute & neuropathy, without generating a couch-lock feeling.
