What part of Cali are you in? I’m going to Shaver Lakes in June/July

I’m in between Yosemite and Stockton near where the tornado touched down yesterday.

Did you grew the coal creek kush at one point ? Did you notice a wet dog/puppy breath dog poo smell in bloom if so ? Perhaps a sharp zig zag pattern to the new growth.
Ido you think of these pictures , this is the mother of Bruce banner… I will say I was smoking og kush in 2002 and it tasted like this plant.

In the late 90’s I grew outdoors in western MA this amazing purple weed (there were 2 distinct types ) …one was huge and came from norcal, and the other was a short fast finishing, dark purple buds that tasted like grape candy… I had a few hundred seeds of each, and when I moved to Tahoe and back over the course of 10 years never stored them properly. To this day I still haven’t found anything that tastes even close to that wonderful short variety…

Northern Lights Extreme. The biggest one-hit-wonders were all grows my dad did, which I swear were for all the tender loving care they got more potent than an equivalent strain from the dispensary. We attributed this to the fact that there’s just no way a dispensary can give the same level of individual daily (sometimes hourly) care to 200 plants. That’s just the taste of good logistics…

This right there is why personal homegrown will always be better than dispensary.

@zephyr Yes, Cryptic Labs , I have a few of thier chemo crosses that list the male as the chemo donor. I would love to get the skinny on how they arrived at a male chemo , what line was used ect.

I know it sounds like a tall tale… but… When UBC Chemo first arrived in the hands of growers , I was there sitting on the couch when the guy arrived with 4 clones in a cardboard drink tray. That was in the heritage neighborhood of Strawberry Hill , on the border of Surrey and North Delta and the grower who received those clones was Sandy Richards, a patch member of the Outlaws and my mentor. He’s passed on a few years ago now so I can’t reach out and ask questions. I remember the first few attempts at breeding with the Chemo failed and they wouldn’t produce viable seed.
anyhow… I would love to get my hands on the real deal cut as I’m sure someone has it somewhere/

I miss the (circa 2003-2005) White Rhino & AK47 my buddy got/grew from people on here. For free of course.

Oh the flower & BHO from it was amazing. I’ll never forget it.

Here are some top finds that I’ve encountered over the years that I would still enjoy. If you find any of these definitely cop:

• Snowcap
• Thai Haze
• Purple Jolly Rancher
• Redwood Kush
• Butter Kush
• Diablo OG
• Westside OG

I’m actually not really into Kush but so much work has been put into that line out here that I’ve just come across some amazing varieties. Thankfully most of the stuff I truly like is available

I use to get Snowcap and Diablo OG. Pretty rare varieties. Those growers always did a good job too

I loved the OGs myself but I felt like there were over hyped OG cuts floating around that didn’t do it for me.

Ah the nostalgia lol. Blue dom is surprisingly still around. I used to get it all the time and ended up getting sick of it. Then it kinda disappeared and now I miss it of course. Massive chunky piney berry smelling buds. M39 was of course super popular. I’m actually growing a stardawg x m39 from san right now. Used to get jean guy back in the day from Montreal. Had a nice lemon lime smell to it. Someone I know actually brought some over not too long ago.

Kinda miss the purple Kush that used to go around before Pink took over. Of course it was also overdone and became too popular and people ended up getting sick of it. Now I really miss that stuff. Was a pretty heavy hitter.

Power plant was pretty commercial stuff but I had some real nice batches of that too.

Friesland/ freezeland back in the day

Old school blueberry

Purple Indica (i see csi sells s1s of it I’m definitely gonna try to get some)

There was a jack herer I was getting back in like 2005 that was amazing but haven’t seen it in forever. Haven’t had any I’ve liked since back then.

Probably much more that I can’t think of off the top of my head. Shit’s changed for sure.
