What are the differences between abc and subterfuge, I understand subterfuge is the worked version but what do you all think would be the best one to cross into a line to work to make it have the leaf type of abc, abc site 3 or subterfuge #1
Subterfuge was out crossed and then worked to have a modern thc level and purpling. As far as I know all the site labeled ones have very low, like 5-8% thc, the difference in site 3 and 4 is plant structure, but Iām not positive about the specifics. I wish I had some site 4 to grow so I could note the differences. Site 1 and 2 I have no info on, Iāve searched for hours and havenāt found more than passing mentions. Iām guessing they were abandoned for some reason.

Good way to look at it is site 3 and 4 are heirloom mutant sativas. Probably of se Asian stock. Long flowering, thc around the 10% mark. With a search thereās some nice individuals.
Subterfuge 1 has been outcrossed multiple times and is basically a good polyhybrid mutant. Great plant that a lot of work has gone into.
In saying that I love a good heirloom sativa, but definitely appreciate both variations of abc

Painted Forest Farms~ āFinding the ABC was purely an accidentā¦there were 4 grow sites each displaying slightly different characteristicsā¦the proprietor of the ABCās family has been growing this variety for generations, with him growing it personally for over 30 yearsā¦I was able to secure about 100 seeds from each grow areaā¦to begin this preservation project.ā
āMost ABC plants let out a faint lemony aroma when rubbed, some display purple buds with exposure to cold. Not recommended for SOG growers. I was only able to enjoy its effects once, and it was a fairly mild sativa high, nothing incredibly potent but, pleasant.ā

i wonder if abc would be better to cross due to more dominant genes being an heirloom maybe it breeds more true?

Good theory. From my understanding the leaf trait of sub1 and heirloom abc both occur at 25% in the F2 gen.

Abc does carry a dwarf trait, would be nice to nail down. Original abc was apparently all dwarf style in the early mutants

hmmm just trying to plan the steps here and want to make sure i choose right no point in purchasing it unless im committing to using it, just want to make sure i choose to start with the best one so i donāt change half way through my plan lol
