Sugar leaves or popcorn buds, what do you do with yours?

I use an air still as well, it has an adjustable temperature settings, to get my alcohol back out of the tincture, so I can set it low and try and catch it before all the alcohol boils off and it gets real gooey.

Thereā€™s plenty of farms outside of the royal parameter that donā€™t have it so easy unfortunately.

Mate itā€™s another world out there

Never used an air still, the source turbo does its thing in about 2 hours.

About how long do you let it rehydrate? Iā€™ve got a bunch of weed drying rn and will be making bubble hash with all my trim here in about a week or two.

This will be my first time making hash, I just put two blueberry ladies in the freezer(they had not great looking buds, plenty of trichomes just larfy af and not marketable as flower.) So Iā€™m gonna be doing one fresh frozen run and one dryed trim run(trim from my one good blueberry, ancestral skunk and gorrilla glue) Iā€™m doing the washing machine method for both runs. Using refrigerated ro water, and grocery store ice. In a little mini washing machine. I think all the trim/flower goes in the 220um zip up bag and then that goes in the washing machine with the ice/water you run it for a bit and drain the machine into your bubble bags in a bucket then pull up each bubble bag individually collecting the hash as you go placing it into separate piles for each bag and then you leave it to dry. Gonna dry it in a tent too so it doesnā€™t get contaminated by cat hair.

About 30 - 40 minutes. I donā€™t weigh my trim but I store it in large ziplock freezer bags. I use one ziplock per run in my five gallon bubble bags. I alternate agitating with a stir stick and a hand mixer with just one mixer blade in it for 15 - 20 minutes. I donā€™t bother running it through twice, others do but Iā€™m to lazy and donā€™t feel its worth the trouble. I put the results on a piece of silk screen with paper towels under it to absorb moisture. After I get enough moisture out of it I put it on a plate, chop it up and let it sit for a few days. When its dry enough for me I press it using hot water in a jar method mentioned earlier in this thread. Like Vernal said there are plenty of variations on bubble hash making. This is just the way I do it.

I make all my trim, larf and popcorn into MCT oil. I dropper puts you to sleep, 2 droppers gets you fucken lit. A tbsp gets you psychedelic

Hash & Edibles.
If I have a lot of trim, I make Ice water hash (higher quality, lower yield)
Less trim I make dry ice hash (still great stuff, HUGE yield in comparison to ice water)

I separate by grade - smoking quality or edibles.
Roll temple balls with the high grade kief
Make butter with the ā€œgreen kiefā€. :grinning:

edit - Iā€™m in trim jail as we speak; Iā€™ll post an edibles / hash thread soon.
I donā€™t have much this round, but enough for a small run of hash & maybe a 1/2 pound of butter.

That is great that your unit has a temp setting. I will have to look into getting that in the future. Catching it before it boils off completely is critical. Please share a photo of your end product. And, how do you boil off?

I will have to make a bucket list trip that way. :ok_hand:t4:

2 hours sounds great. Thanks for sharing that info.

Sounds like you got the idea down. Hope the forum goes great. Cheering you on til the finish line.

A tablespoon sounds fun. What method do you use to extract into MCT?

Sweet. Share some photos when you can.

Hi my friend I drymy trim and any popcorn first
Freeze everything, then I use my mini hash washing machine with ice run it thru 15 minutes then run through my bags , 3 times ( I keep the washed separately) freeze for a day then crumble and let it sit a week in a dark dry closet open air dry ,
Then the French cannoli technique ( ok some people donā€™t like him or how he does his thing I get but I like the method so end of story )

I also cure it a month

I was asked what I do with the left over after I strain the oil.

I donā€™t press or use force at all on my first round of straining the oil. Once it stops draining naturally in the strainer, I switch out bowls and squeeze the filter bag to remove residual oil. This will have leaf matter.

Next I run hot water through the filter bag and press out more oil.

Repeat until no oil can be extracted.
I then throw away the leaf matter. Some bake with it.

This oil is then strained through two layers of coffee filter and left in refrigerator to cool until oil and water separate. Poke a hole in the oil layer and completely drain off all water.

Tincture post coming in a few days.

Something Iā€™m doing with smaller popcorns right now is making butter. Itā€™s with the little pieces you find in the bottom of a jar as well as a few regular nugs

Hey Papalag,

Thanks for sharing your method. Do you have a freeze dryer? How do you chill after ice extraction? Your process sounds interesting.
