The beds where already there from.old greenhouse. Didnt have a tlb back then either. Had excess soul to do the big pots too and I have ways of keeping the beds cool.

Lmao yeah we still Barrow shit daily. I had to feed the worms today…that’s like 1 cube moved with a wheelbarrow lol.

Yeah those Cuvee x Blues plants were quite squat and thick dark leaves … very good looking plants. I wish I could get some seeds back of that lol … hope it works out for you…

Well, that plant is a male. But, since you say that maybe I should keep him or collect pollen to make beans. I think I have a good many seeds but can’t remember.

This one sure does look female. I was bummed as it looked so good. Might better keep him going to see what I do with him. Damn summer is going way too fast for me. I can’t believe it’s August.

Damn pity it’s a boy… but i do remember the males being well structured though… if you do an f2 run, I’d gladly take some off your hands hehe

Looking great bro, must feel good once you’ve finished with the mulch… solid effort.

I thought you guys would pop ya seeds around first week of September similar to in the south of Aus. This was before I knew about moon phases so we would just throw them in on father’s day, first Sunday of September and harvest end of April/start of May.

Look forward to seeing the show, how many cultivars you running?

No problem, I’m sure I will. That boy looks like a really pretty female, heh. I can’t wait to pop more. I was bored one day and planted a couple while I was raising some seedlings for a friend. I gambled. One died one a male. I’ll sprout more now.

I never had the Cuvée but it seems like the blues has a good influence on the crosses I’ve had.

I will be doing that too as well as running clones this year outdoors. I do the late grows to keep the sizes more manageable… I mean it’s all cool growing big plants and they make for great pics but it’s really a mission. Also you take a bigger knock on the biggies at the end of the day. It’s a lot to manage. So I’ll be doing 12 big plants this year… I know I can manage that and the beds will run with a shorter veg to more maneagle sizes. Generally get about 150grm off a plant started in Dec

That makes sense mate, huge canopies definitely involve a lot more work. Problem with us planting late was come November/December it’s high 30’s and then come January it up in to the 40’s… so unless the girls have a decent root mass already they just get fried. I’m assuming your clones will be off to a good start before you put them in the blazing sun or are you not in a really hot region?

The clone moms are outside during the day and its only for 2 weeks that the cuts are inside before going back out to harden. Once hardened off then they will get some pot time yes, to build up some roots but not too worried about the heat even though we do hit the upper 30s on days… my mulch layer is like 20cm thick and have some good fungal life in there to help em out

Haha! I’ve been complaining a bit cuz most of my plants are smaller this year then the garlic outgrows my trellis and I complain about that too! Actually a bit smaller is better. Much less pain in the ass. Admittedly, I like showing off the bigs in pics, but hate taking care of them. :joy::sunglasses:

Oh, nice. Maybe I can find the time to turn this pack into more beans. I have one male to start with! I remember @Sunvalley mentioning, earlier, that some people were getting chocolate phenos. So, that sounds fun. I’ve been on a loose search for any good chocolate or part chocolate strains if they come along.

I’ll try and plan for a seed run of them. It sounds yummy to me, too.

As far as growing large tree plants, I love it while watching them grow, but it fades fast once the heavy maintenance sets in. Everything in life takes a back seat when it comes to processing them. I’m glad I did the last few years because I was able to help a lot of people with free weed.

I have that one monster that grew as a volunteer and it’s close to 7’ so I’ll have fun watching it and will have plenty of one strain, heh. That’ll be enough for now. If I knew somebody that would come help me trim a a few big trees and could then sell it I might be tempted but just for me it’s too much. I’m sure I’ll plant more outside but I’m sort of glad I don’t have all of that work right when I have a lot of work to get ready for winter. But, There’s no better feeling than having a monster and watching all of those long colas on all limbs, just blowing in the breeze. It’s an awesome site, and smell!

All of my plants this year are in pots except for three volunteers. One of them is in a pot.
