Would not be surprised if a Florida mockingbird is still singing the modem handshake sound somewhere. I know they used to imitate phones ringing.

@Sunvalley - May I use and redistribute this image?. It illustrates perfectly the “following the sun” plant messaging perfectly. I am putting together Info and images, stories and evidence, for a Marijuana Museum in Tuscola County, Michigan

Bubble bubble… Using a spare bubble bag to make teas these days. Ingredients are worm castings, compost, Lucerne meal (alfalfa) leaf mould fungal goodness from out of the gorge and a tad molasses… Have laid off the molasses a lot in soil drench but love using it for foliar teas

Lucerne (alfalfa) mulch

Lucerne for days

Looking good. Is that Lucerne cool to use as a mulch right away like that? I only ask because I remember reading about, like, ancient people in Mesopotamia or somewhere growing alfalfa fields, chopping it and rotating because the decomposing alfalfa was so hot they’d have to wait a season for the soil it grew in to mellow. Pretty cool.

Yessir it does get hot and for composting in that regardnits a gem… Really is a great biodynamic accumulator… I dried this lot out over the soil for a couple days and is mulched over again with straw now. I’ve always mulched with alfalfa and never had it heat up on me. Maybe because my woms would be composting it?
I know a lady here that top dresses using a mix of alfalfa, kelp, molasses meal and rock dust. She let’s that sit for 30 days as it heats up and activates… I think that in part is from the molasses meal?

So yeah you ain’t wrong @minitiger hehe
*side note… I’ve chopped and dropped a couple fields here to no ill effect

I don’t think I’ve ever heard of molasses meal before, just looked it up. So it’s basically just like molasses, but in powder form? That’s cool. I’m not sure that’d be the reason it heats up, though. That’s probably from the alfalfa. Maybe the combination of the two makes it extra-hot? I dunno. Sounds like a good top dress, though. I used to use alfalfa teas a lot in veg, stopped doing it about five years ago. They were great, I really kinda wanna try to get back to using them.
