Didn’t want to criticize the work of a friend, but I saw before those plants exhausted , wondering if it was transplant shock, something wrong with roots or just stress because all that training …
Those kind of dehydrated tissues also happen when pH fluctuations, don’t think there may be any nutes def. I would just add a good dose of LITFA and see how they react, will check later again …
Thanks for that Vote of Patience.
DeHydration is a word I had not associated with this grow. But in seeing the Deflated Fan leaves in a couple pics. You are close @George !
Next watering is a few days away. I’ll make the meals a little smaller and more frequent this part of the program
Still seeing more of these Edge-melts appear. Occuring on Both plants.
Tonight is a feed to run-off with Bloom Microbes, Enzymes, Molasses and a dash of Gypsum. Will measure pH and ppm of effluent.
SSDD is Working on Nodes 9 & 10
I don’t know crap, but could it be a nitrogen deficiency? I was experiencing the same leaf deformity with upward curling and I was able to mitigate it by increasing N.
The plants looking beautiful besides this though, hope you figure out the issue!
We are nudging this system, not pushing it (ifrickinhope)
Worm Castings bring about N fast, a cup/gal was added to the in-progress tea and a tiny dose (90% tsp/2gal) of longer-lasting bone meal was tipped into the tea.
I waited the extra day for the soil to be ready. Microbe Tea was brewed with some specific new components: worm castings, gypsum and a bit of blood meal, to try and address this “edge-melt” as I’m calling it. (Picture 4)
Watering to Run-off was the goal. The LST pins were removed to make the Watering easier, and it sure highlighted the building growth of foliage and bud-sites. She looks healthy. Slow watering led to a saturated 5 gal bag and by Morning there was 1.5L of liquid under her. Yeah, that PPM was in excess of 2200, and I’m glad its out. I did not prepare enough liquid for a Flush, but that was not the goal. Right now there’s over a Gallon of good nutes on the roots. Tea details pH6.4 PPM 590
I left the limbs “un-Pinned” last nite (above) and re-applied LST this morning to prevent any Soggy leaves…
Might be in the no-touch zone very shortly…
The final (recommended) BBP application was applied this morning @ 1.5ml bbp → 2oz water
Lovin the bud-sites and how they are jumping Up. Start of week 3 at 12/12
Sounds like you got a handle on her so here’s to hoping you got her squared away now. I don’t know enough about soil to offer any advice but what you’re doing sounds good to me. Hopefully that fixes it and she stretches out a bit more here before full on flower sets in. She should get some fat buds regardless though and she’s looking good!
Does this qualify as a double-serrated leaf? Below, looking-in on the cola from the 10th node. Hoping to develop a circle of Colas similar to and Just bigger than Pot size
Oh yeah!!
That’s what we wanna see right there. She really colored up!
As for momma traits, she has a few already that I noticed weeks ago. That definitely counts as double serrations. She also has the crinkle trait. Leaves in general look very much like her mom. Blade width is really similar. Despite the intense training it still looks like she has the stem bend trait too. Should be very nice soon!
Nothing has stood out yet, scent-wise, but I have poked around a bit. I’m definitely curious Thanks for asking.
your quote: she has the stem bend trait too…
Could you tell me what you are referring too with this pheno? Any bending has been easy to date. Except the first one lol. It had a crisper sound
The way the stem kinda zig zags across the pot there. The mom has this wavy stem bend thing that happens regardless of the lighting or anything else. Seen it in a good portion of the ssdd line from f1’s on.
Thanks for that, because its been almost effortless to get this laid-out.
You just create Cognizant Bud @HolyAngel, its on the same page as us. Its kind of nice when your plants participate.

3 days now after the last feeding of SSDD and it appears as if the Gypsum (cal) and Blood Meal (N) have had a positive impact on the Canopy re-Greening. * of significance, these two ingredients, DID NOT get added to Jack Herer’s feeding the next day, and it still has Yellow tinging on some of the leaves. Both Gypsum and Blood Meal will be gently added to Jacks (left) next meal. That was the test.
Happy there was a difference, now i can work with it in confidence.
I was thinking about this and don’t think you had a N problem, it normally starts from below as new growth takes N from the lower leaves and that brings yellowing to them. In your case, yellowing was in the new growth which makes me think about an immobile nutrient such as Iron:
This could happen with a soil too alkaline, notice too the dark green leaves and clawing which may indicate a N toxicity:
Hey it’s Great to hear from you Jorge.
I love your message, I mentioned Too much N earlier today @George ! @ReikoX had responded to a question I had posed on Nutes.
As it turned out, I had added a basic Veg Fert @50% of recommendation, to my custom amended-soil mix… so it was indeed on the Hot side !
Thank You immensely for taking the time to dig into that issue. Hugely appreciated!
I also learned, I had done too much!

fyi, here is the image that I saw dealing with Toxicity and recognized a similarity!
