when I decided to start breeding my own earlier this year I switched to cheap amendments, cheap coco bricks and perlite from amazon, and straight tap water. I also recycle my potting soil with no idea of its nute levels. I figure the the plants that survive and look good enough to pollenate must have tough genetics to pass on.
But it turns out that I have been culling more quality plants than I thought because they handle the poorer conditions just fine.

My town water sucks big time over 800 ppmsā¦so I use rainwater from rain barrels from last year for my soil growsā¦my rainwater is at 28-44 ppmsā¦
