Tent floor insert

Pretty hazy, I mean lazy :yum:
Is the insert that comes with indoor tents really waterproof?
I’ll probably test it myself in the next 2 weeks, but I thought I’d ask my brothers and sisters.
I’ve got some waterproof spray on stuff for camping tents/swags etc I thought I might try, or should I just buy a 1x1 f&d tray to be sure?

Buy the tray or at least separate pot saucers

That’s what i thought too. Hundred fourty beats walking onto a whole heap of wet any morning. You know I’ll still pour 20 litres of water into the insert, just to see right?

Depending on the company who made the tent, yes I have found them to be a great protectant.
I run all iPower tents except for my clone seedling set up.
I still use the big clear plastic bowls for protection and have found out you can fill them with water, water your plants good.
Then you can walk away for upto a week if you have somewhere to go.

@Esrgood4u has a good one, think it was a pond liner he uses in his tent. I personally use trays or bowls/dishes whatever is waterproof because cheap tents don’t come with waterproof liners. I think if you went with a good brand of tent so I dunno gorilla tents they’re that expensive they should be fuckin waterproof.

I use a tray from amazon meant for washing machines. Come in various sizes, super cheap compared to what hydro stores charge us. Then i lift it up on some bricks or stands of sorts, drill a small hole, and drain into a tupperware or a small bucket. Here’s a picture of what it looks like in a 1m by 1m tent and a 30x33" tray, just re-setting that space.

EDIT: on sale for 17 bucks

Pardon the dirt.

You’ve literally just saved my life mate been looking for a 80x80cm tray and you’re spot on the trays for tent purposes cost stupid money I think they’re about £50. For a plastic tray.

I know right? I actually bought a proper one for my other space and yes it is a little deeper, but totally not worth the 100CAD I paid for it. Maybe if I filled it with media and flooded, but I dont so these Amazon camcos are the shit. They are not flimsy at all either, so no worries there. Cheers!

Yeah I cut an 800 x 800 piece of pond liner. I folded 100mm around each side and stapled the top. It created a 600 x 600 tray with 100mm sides that can hold/collect any run off. It was created more to keep the base of the small veg tent clean more than anything mate. Cheap and cheerful up cycling

Love the set up. I’m running a 4x4 LA Grow tent. I was wondering as I can’t access the tent all the way around if you’ve found a sweet spot number of plants for the space. I’m running 5 3 gal pots. I think the 60 day veg was a little too long for my experience level. Any tips that could improve grouping too tight. Maybe a shorter veg time? Thanks bro. I love the trellis. Super clean. :+1:

4x4 tent Ive grown 9 plants in 20 litre fabric pots. Vegged for 4 weeks but really force fed high ppm/ec until you see them burn then back off slightly and you easily hit 4 oz per plant BUT that’s under 600w solstrips using coco. Hps I cant see why you can’t get 3oz per plant if that’s what your running depending on what strain you run. :v:
