in light of that info I will finally post baby pics lol was waiting for the rest to pop , I lost a #3 , the seed husk wouldnt come off. I have bad hands and usually do not mess with the husks, letting nature take its course.
Tonight my time.
my seeds are 5-20 years old? lol. I’m sure i misunderstood, but they’re about 3 years.
did you make them or were they obtained?
i made them. goji og females (3 different ones) crossed with a solo stash male. named it soloberry. so 2 different goji og’s in soloberry # 2 and #3. i thought that was clear in my original post.
well then i am going to think there 3 yrs old then lol, either way pics of whats up tonight
you probably did ,i thought i remembered but have a bad short term memory.
I soaked the undamaged SB2 beans that came in the white envelope, there were 5 or 6 that looked viable, letting them sit in room temp water for about 16 hours in the dark. 3 showed tails early and were placed in rapid rooter plugs presoaked with nutriplus start @ 2.5ml/L, one more showing tap root today, that one going into seed starting soil.
Of the three early sprouters, one popped up this morning
I’ll try to take extra special care of it (which is likely what will kill it)
Personally, I’m going rockwool to rockwool cube in a top feed system. They’ll be straight up 12/12 from seed.
Kinda using them as a guinea pig for the drip system. See how they go.
Here’s what I have so far. I still have three solo2’s that are in cups and hopefully will sprout. The three more big further along ones are solo3’s and are a little over a week old. The small sprout just emerged this morning.

seeds cracked, moved to 16oz cups .Got damp off after 10days.Gonna soak some more of each and try again.Never went 0 for 8 sprouting .Sad its not more viable as it sounds like a killer strain.
[/quote] sorry bro, I should of been more clear. I posted that pic of the “ sea sectioned” seeds. Cuz monkey man was talking about cracking some with his teeth, lol, and a couple days ago I cracked some open with my nails. The shell was soggy so it worked.
Both the two’s and three’s popped a tap root in 3 days planted into beer cups this morning .
Hopefully no damping off issues .
one of the Extra # 3’s is up, but still has seed husk, i didnt soak or use papertowel on the extras, they went right into the cup
A good trick I found, to avoid decapitation of the seedling sprouts due to seeds that won’t let go, is to take a clothes pin and clamp it on to the seed so it squeezes it along the length of the seed, allowing the seam to open up a bit. Basically a seed cracker after the fact, and good for unsteady hands
You could also use hemostats, a roach clip, nipple clamps, your teeth, chopsticks, pliers - anything that gently pinches those seeds along the seam. That sometimes cracks the seed hull just enough to allow the plant to naturally shed it, or pick it off when it opens up a little more.
probably but to clarify, i cant really make a fist even. I was burned flesh and tendon gone, thye did grafts but that didnt fix tendons, so small stuff like that i avoid, i mess up bigger stuff.
on my right hand i have perm bent fingers cuz of it
Misting the seed husk a couple of times in the day will soften it up and help it fall off to.
I do do that yes and it does seem to help
it’s a breech birth
Face down ass up - must be a girl, better save it
