Don’t feel bad I’ve wasted soo much money on killing beans but I’m figuring it out slowly but surly I’m getting there it’s just like rolling a joint for years I thought I would never figure it out now everyone asks me to roll there joints

Are you putting them straight into soil after they get their tap root or they just not popping

I went through a seed killing spree not proud of it but learned from it …

My homemade soil was to hott. Younger plants with an established root system could handle it …tap roots would fry right out…26 seeds to be exact …took me five tries to understand it .

Waiting on them to throw a tap root then plant into pro mix . Quite possibly the soil is too hot was planning on trying some in rock wool cubes see if my results improve.

I usually don’t have a lot of issues but lately it’s been poor. Thanks

I use rapid rooters. Cut 1/4 inch off the bottoms use them for caps. Put them in trays with some domes on heat mat. Take the cut off pieces put them over the seed hole to cover them. Just keep them damp , I use a little peroxide in the water couple days usually have some nice sprouts and as they grow they push the caps off. Soon as the pop roots out the sides of rooters put them in the pot or hydro system :+1::+1::v:

I hate the fact that there is glue in the rapid rooters cause they don’t break down well but those things have helped me a lot not sure why but they work for me as well

Chopped down 6 plants from the greenhouse, small part of an ever busy weekend. I’m honestly impressed with my own work, some of this stuff looks so fantastic, I can’t wait to try it

That will do you proud.

Now, you know… this is going to turn you into a complete and insufferable weed snob…
…as you set a high bar to measure all others against…
Enjoy it… you earned it for sure!

Holy carp that was an amazing catchup! Beautiful work @TestOfOath ! :hugs:

How do you bud wash with one of these? My hand is killing from an all day trim jail session and I’ve hesitated to look into a trimming machine until I figure out the logistics of washing before going into a machine.

I wash as soon as I chop, hang them up sopping wet and that moisture is gone first day with air circulating, normal drying after that. 5-7 days give or take and things are usually ready to head into the trimmer. I use a debudder bucket lid to strip everything into a 5 gallon bucket then just load the machine up and let it do it’s thing. More or less as streamlined as you can get for a one man (most of the time) operation.

Easily my best and favorite investment so far, got it in my car at work right now so I can take it to my brother in law while I’m waiting for the batch I have hanging to dry. The price tags are daunting when you’re looking at them at first but if you approach with a business mindset of what’s the amount of money I’ll save in simple time and manual labor you recoup your losses the first year of use easily.

There’s a shit ton of different brands and mechanisms, I opted for slow rotating dry trimmer, there’s plenty like the centurion that high speed wet trim but those are more industrial and I didn’t like the idea of the centrifugal force being so much that bugs are just rolling like tires at high speeds

If I’m being honest I’ve been a slight weed snob for a while :joy: if I’ve got weed I’ve grown that I know is really good I’ll take that over just about anyone else’s weed, especially dispensaries. I always enjoy trying people’s homegrown and homemade stuff but I’m not about commerical quality stuff

Same here.
I got a chance to work through the judge’s kit for the local annual weed festival (Karma Cup). I wanted to see how mine compared (you know, for science…)
Out of 36 samples, maybe 6 were as good or better.

Some of the cures were interesting, literally rock hard nugs and dryer than I usually go (maybe mid/high 50’s RH).

My kid has picked up dispensary weed on occasion and complained about the ‘sameness’ of it all. He much prefers my stuff.
I guess it comes down to the motives of the grower. We will grow stuff commercial growers wouldn’t touch (long flower times, lower yields, old varieties) So not surprising we find ‘gems’ that they don’t.
Maybe like comparing your own sourdough vs a commercial loaf…

Dropping an eighth of someone and saying “…try that” never gets old…
 :+1:

I’m the same way brother. You should know. Lol you get to sample it all and give reviews. And honest ones Lmao. dosi , mystery and your icc. I’m pretty happy with. Still waiting on that highland x icc and a Mendo wreck to finish up. Hopefully soon. :+1::+1::v:

Can’t agree more what’s that saying growing is fun trimming sucks? With a trimmer it’s all fun.

Chopped most of these down except the tall ones and ones in the way back, colors are incredible, must’ve let a male pick x icc or texada time warp go too long before noticing and chopping cause I’ve got super mature seeds in everything I’ve smoked so far. That’s a small complaint though, the weed is by far the best I’ve smoked all year and I’m super happy with all of it so far

Hydro is starting to take off, MSG Lemon Thai became a giant, GRDC is gonna have some just monstrous nugs. I wanna say the medium size one is Slurricane but it could also be Creeper Haze, we’ll see if it turns into a giant like the Lemon Thai, MSG seems to have characteristically monstrous plants. The tiny one in the back is my Dosi Cut, was finally big enough to put in
