Hahaha Chalk boards suck for us. I learned to just hover my hand over whatever I’m writing on as a kid though. At least I didn’t go to Catholic school and get the edge of the metal ruler for writing with the hand of the devil and stuff. Haha

I had to look twice because I thought it said “cunny wreck”…I was like: “What’s that cross?!”
Can’t Google that effectively, obviously.

Just got this rooted Chernobyl clone in the mail, transplanted her into a solo cup with 100% Roots 707 soil. I watered her in with 1/8tsp Sea-K per Gallon of Water. Ph’d to soil range. Can’t wait to do some work with this one! It’s my first and only clone! Very excited for this girl!:grin::grin:

I ended up propping her up with a popsicle stick for now she’s doing much better, I also dimmed the light to 10% to let her acclimate better after shipping

ok another update on these same seeds that have been soaking for who knows how long.
deep purple 9/12 3, 3D and cherry cordial 9/14 3 each. after soaking for close to a week and nothing happening other than 2 of the 3d split open but never grew a tail. monday 9/18 the botanicare liquid karma showed up. i emptied the shot glasses of water and added the liquid karma 1ml/500ml tap water into the shot glasses with the seeds that had already been soaking for a week. last night i opened the case and saw at least one or 2 of the cherry cordial have tails coming out of them. so they have been soaking for 9 days before growing a tail. maybe the botanicare made a difference. i will do another test soon with botanicare and also the aloe recipe that @budderton mentioned above.
thanks @MonsterDrank for the botanicare suggestion. if it saved one seed the 20$ will be worth it.
so we are 2/9 on the old tga/producers overstock seeds, but i think a soaking in either botanicare or aloe from the beginning of soak would be much more helpful on the sprouting.

@Slammedsonoma420 I swear by that Liquid Karma stuff. Seen firsthand how it definitely makes a big difference with older seeds. It’s well worth the money but always store that stuff in the fridge. It’ll last much longer.

Did you end up getting the slymer cut?

@Addams_family_farm It’s called the Golden Ticket. I personally don’t like the name Slymer as thats not what Subcool referred to it. Sub showed it off first and being that him & Dioxide created it… the name Slymer was just something some dude started calling his cut over a year later. I know the guy who started all of that. That’s like if I had the Stardawg Guava cut and didn’t like the name so I change the name and pass it around to all my buddies… its confusing and disrespectful to do that. So no its not Slymer… its the Golden Ticket.

Well thanks for the info I’ve been confused about that for awhile. I’ve seen some say it was the same and then others say they are different but similar phenos… Never grew the golden ticket but I have tried her before amazing meds you’ll have to make sure you post up some photos of her in flower

@Addams_family_farm it is confusing. From what I understand the Golden Ticket pheno got renamed by someone I know… he thought it resembled the old Hi-C Ecto Cooler drink that had Slymer on the front. The plant is as of course very resinous… so he named it Slymer… but I agree that just confuses people as it already had a name to begin with. The guy that nicknamed it Slymer was someone that got the cut indirectly from me… it was circulated to a bunch of internet forum people when the guy who runs “Rising Moon” seeds ripped me off on a trade… he then gave it to a bunch of other people and went on to even make and sell seeds with it… never fulfilling the bargain he made with me back then… and eventually ghosting me. He’s a total prick and has no ethics. He was a mutual friend of mine… buddy of a buddy… and some of my good friends got it as a result of his circulating it… one of those guys was the one who started calling it Slymer… I didn’t like that… but nothing I can do about it except complain. I still call it what Sub called it… “The Golden Ticket.”

It is my belief that the “Golden Ticket” and “Slymer” cuts are two (2) different plants - I read it somewhere in a Cannabis mag, quoted directly from TGA. So if it’s written in an article, it Must Be True…

I don’t think so. The guy who started calling it Slymer was a guy up in Alaska who got his cut indirectly from Subcool and the Weednerd Crew via Me. Now it could be said that Sub and his crew didn’t know this… because I didn’t go around blasting out loud back then that I had given it out to anyone… I also don’t think there’s anyone of those guys could verify the origin of the Slymer cut. Hell I recently saw Mz Jill say that she thought it was the same exact cut renamed. The only way that it could be two different cuts wold be if the dude I know who called it Slymer back over a decade ago was coincidentally calling it Slymer and someone else called theirs the same exact name and spread it around. I don’t think thats the case. But with all of this lore and what not… its all mostly hearsay… so there’s no way to really prove any of it.

This is what Mz Jill said… “The Golden Ticket pheno was pheno-hunted and put in my garden by grimmripper from Uplifted Farms . Over the years someone else has renamed this pheno, Slymer…”

But then again I think you really gotta take anything she says with a grain of salt too… because I don’t think she even knows 100%… I saw her say some other time that she didn’t know… and here that its renamed.

I remember the direct message/DM I got from my buddy in Alaska who was estatic over growing out the Golden Ticket and he told me in that DM… “Me and my buddies have started calling it Slymer” and he went on to say why, describe the plant, etc…

That’s all I can share with you that I know 100% to be true. Before the Weednerd Youtube Channel there was a Weednerd IRC Internet Chat… and that’s how I got to know most of the “Weednerds” some of them local and in very close with Sub… I am on ther East Coast myself… so I didn’t have the luxury of hanging out with those guys in person… but I can tell you that my cut was sourced from that crew and is in fact… “The Golden Ticket.” I don’t like or refer to it as Slymer. I just tell people… I don’t have Slymer… I have the Golden Ticket.

Genetic Supply no longer sells Producer’s overstock-TGA Subcool gear.
They do give you a definitive production date; some of those seeds were produced back in 2014 (mostly the Classics); and other were produced in 2021 (newer hybrids). I wanted these genetics in my vault, so i took a chance, and bought some beans (both older & newer strains) - knowing the risk older beans carry. From my personal experience, I’ve had beans that were 10 years old, stored in my dresser drawer, and got 100% germination (never refrigerated, but kept at room temp, in original pack, and never exposed to sunlight, or temperature fluctuations)
Now, The BIG question is how did Genetic Supply store their seeds? …were they left out in bags, in the barn, greenhouse, or in blazing direct sunlight? …if so, they’re “beat up”, and probably not going to germinate…However, if they were stored properly (indoors, cool temps, stable condition) - they have a good chance of germination.

When Genetic Supply ceased Producers Overstock sales, I knew something was up…So I’m going to do a germination test; I’ll pick some “old classics” and some “new hybrids”, and will let you know how it goes…
I started two (2) weeks ago with one (1) SANGRIA bean. It cracked and showed tap root within 24 hours. Once I planted it in soil, it wasn’t doing anything for a couple days (i thought maybe I planted too deep and killed it), so I knew it needed some love: I used a toothpick to “poke around”, getting the seed as close to the surface as possible. Originally, it started out on a windowsill, but I put it in my germination chamber (ideal light & warmth), and now, it’s growing - slowly, but looking very nice & healthy.
So now I need to select a couple “old classics” - I’m thinking Jacks Cleaner, Jack Skellington, Querkle, Qleaner; I haven’t decided, but will dig one (1) or two (2) out of my vault (this week).
Once i make my final decision, and get it into water, and let’s see what happens… I will update this thread.
Any Suggestions (for a TGA Classic strain)?
