TGA Subcool Gear

Mine is also coming along slowly. I’m sure it’s because she’s not happy about my cold as basement

Yeah cold temps will definitely slow things down. It’s a constant winter battle for me too!

I like to run the oil radiator style heaters. DeLonghi brand are what I’ve been running for like 15 years now.
I wish they still made the model I have. It has 3 settings - low (300watt), medium (600w) and high (900w).
Now every oil heater seems to use 600 watts on low and 1500w on high. That’s a lot more energy use! Heaters aren’t cheap to run. The oil heaters are the cheapest to run that I’ve found so far.

They have nice built in thermostats that are actually relatively accurate. I still use an ink bird controller in my flower room, but for my other rooms the built in thermostat is fine.

I like that they don’t dry the air out as much as other heaters do. Plus I set coffee cans filled with water on top of the oil heater in the veg rooms to boost humidity for free.

I also bought 4’ long heating mats that I use in the veg room during real cold spells. You have to be careful with small seedlings, but for bigger vegging plants the heating mats are a big help to keep them happy.

Oh, and make sure you have some type of barrier between your plants and the concrete floor! Those rubber interlocking squares work great.

And simply using metal halide/ceramic metal halide or t5 fluorescent lighting can add a nice bit of heat to the room for free! I switch to LED’s for veg in the summer and use MH/CMH during the winter.

Im sure its already been mentioned on here, but what are everyone’s experiences with the tga producers overstock from genetic supply? Gotta be real old stock. Been looking for cheesequake forever

Nice photo. Mine is drying. Trimming was a bit of a challenge because the leaves are so frosty. It was difficult to decide how much to cut. Good problem to have!

Just went through this entire thread…some amazing plants!!

I sure miss my Chernobyl…had two phenotypes, one ultra lime and really dark green…the other and my favorite was yellowish with most intense lemon/fuel smell/taste I’ve ever come across…was unbelievable! Also more trichomes than I’ve ever seen even to this day! The main stocks were absolutely covered. And…was one of those strains where the taste went all the way to the ash.

Those seeds came direct from Sub and were from the first release…

The Querkle I had was outstanding as well!

Damn I miss those strains!!

I’ve spent the winter watching old weed need episodes so I think this thread is pretty cool. One of the first plants I grew was agent orange.
