HA!
the 'dillos don’t come into the city. i suspect it was squirrel. i chased one off this morning sitting up on top of the cage like he owned the place. i gotta close that gap up top… dammit.
i am more worried about the friggin rats. i got everything closed up down low in the garden, but the dogs have killed a few already this year and i saw aussie almost got one last night. it sproinged behind the woodpile. she just missed it before it jumped. i gotta find the hole they’re using to get into the back yard.
chop day for the AC GDP master clone. i didn’t want to toss this plant outside, but the spidermites forced my hand. regardless, this cut can be grown outside or in and deals just fine with our vicious sun. smells really good. VERY sticky. i put it inside to cool off and stay dark until i cut and wash. (after dinner.)
Seedlings are all good to go now. we have had a LOT of rain and crap weather. they got leggy looking for light. the wind has seen fit to blow them all over and strengthen them up. i am in the process of painting all the outdoor buckets with microkote and getting the soil prepped for their outdoor run.
Gelat.OG in the 32oz cups are just some pretty plants. deep purple colors edging all the fan leaves. deep purple colorations on the sugar leaves. some brilliantly contrasting colors. my photos don’t do it justice. i think another week or two to finish. still see a lot of clear trichs despite the color displays.
final mention will be the autos. the weather has not been kind to purple punch. i am not happy. i started with 2 seedlings. now i have one. and it’s getting it’s ass kicked and showing very little progress.
on the other hand, the scarlet grapes are getting after it. i hope purple punch pulls through. i really like that one.
the outdoor autos
moms day party weekend for abuela kinda got in the way of several tasks. no/not many photos. sorry.
had some relatives come by that aren’t really cool with the ganj thing… regardless of how it’s working out for abuela. decided to harvest the Gelat.OG in a most unceremonious manner… hustled into the garage, quickly chopped, quickly washed, quickly hung in front of fan. some stuff outside i just couldn’t move. pretty sure they saw them but… nothing was said, and passed without issue.
the 32oz cups seem to work just as well outdoors as in. the gelat.og turned out quite pretty and smelled amazing. like walking into an ice cream parlor. sweet and fresh cream. many nice contrasting colors. a deep purple outline to all the fan leaves and just before the chop, the sugar leaves picked up the deep purple as well. i really wish i could have let it go 1-2 more weeks. it just kept getting better. i did snap some pictures, but my photography skills are meh at best. my photos never do my plants justice.
seedlings are all still alive despite all the terrible weather. i have topped the two tallest. slow them down and get some roots rockin before the transplant.
since weather has been bad, been unable to get all the outdoor pots squared away. have some good weather this week. should get some more stuff done.
ok. constant rain has been a b!tch to get things done outside. been working like a banshee outdoors the last 3 days of constant sun. got a bunch of stuff done, but i’m pretty smoked today… taking it slow, so decided to snap some pics and do the update.
Main Run
all 10 main plants have been transplanted from solos to their 7gal permapots. soil has been recycled and re-amended. looked black and rich. expecting good things.
now the task is to get the rails framed up. still thinking on this. drawing up plans and measurements.
Scarlet grapes auto is taking the lead despite being planted after purple punch. purple punch is still struggling along with the slowest of slow progress. the rain beat it’s ass and some insects decided to give it a taste. it is growing in microscopic increments. lame… i really like purple punch. not expecting a whole lot out of this one
Scarlet Grapes
it’s been a while since updating. reason being it’s been raining damn near every day for the last 3 or 4 weeks. heavy thunderstorms daily with high winds and tornadoes mixed in.
the plants are struggling for light for the most part. they have gotten more than their share of water… some of my flower gardens (for the bees/butterflies) are completely dead now. plants meant for hot and arid conditions molded off and died between this week and last. kinda pissed.
been battling with a VERY smart little rat. he’s been getting into my vegetable garden. closed up holes he chewed new ones. been munching on my cabbage seedlings. a$$hole. sucker has been eluding the dogs too. they get close, but he gets to my grapevine trellises and escapes up over the fence. i’d have more time to work on traps etc if it would stop f*cking raining. as i type, thunderheads are rolling in closer. yippee.
the water is killing off my grapes too. >:(
to make matters worse the dogs have been nibbling on the plants. topped a few down to stem nubs. might need to re-seed seedsman “the white og”. they chewed it down bad. it’s trying to make a comeback, but might be quicker to just plant another seed.
i don’t doubt it. the creeks around here look like white water rapids… some of the bridges have flooded out. our town is on a high plain, but it does have some low spots. those are getting flooded out north and east of us.
my sister in law had trees fall on her house on monday. took me and boy all day with the chainsaw to dig them out. some damage to the roof and gutters. their chimney cap got blown off onto the neighbors front yard across the street. they just got their power back yesterday.
quick n dirty update. been raining/hailing/windy/tornadoes around for the last month. no sun. plants have not been happy. lost one to the storms. seedsman the white og is no more. will have to start another seed this week when i have some time. now they have had about 2 weeks of sun. some are getting after it, others are still recovering.
got a bunch of tasks to take care of since weather permits. no time to really get into this.
got the top dress in after the rain stopped (2 weeks late), the plants LST’ed and the cypress mulch in the pots today. gotta finish up installing the new irrigation parts and do something about all the friggin weeds in my veggie garden since the rains.

autos doing their thang. both of them took a beating in the rain/storms. purple punch (L) is finally growing… bout time. scarlet grapes ® is getting some mutated branching after the beating it has taken. props to surviving.
so MANY weeds in my graden from the rain. got my day cut out…
finally got some back to back sun here. most of the plants developed great root systems during the rain, so most have exploded with growth. the issue has been the rain washing out most of the dry amendments, so it’s been kind of a struggle getting the soil/nutes levels back up proper. i have top dressed and been fertilizing with alaska fish fert in the interim waiting for the new top dress to start feeding. i suspect another week of alaska ferts before the dry amendments start breaking down.
i still need to build the rail system. i have had zero time. now the weather is better, i should be able to do something this week or next.
the autos are doing ok. scarlet grapes seems to be getting it’s flower on. it really took a beating during the storms but seems to be doing it’s best to produce.
purple punch FINALLY took off and is growing. i’m not going to top or LST. just going to let it do it’s thing. i want it to produce. bummed it started off so poorly.
lol… glad i took the pictures this week. last week they were still struggling with the flushed out soil. they were lookin’ a bit yellow.
i am psyched for sun too. dry it out a little bit. i can handle the heat, but not the humidity. it’s been sopping wet/flooded here for so long.
dunno if you noticed, but i have pretty much painted all my plant containers with the microkote now. it really works great. y’all should give it a go.
sun has been strong and constant. temps rising. already in the 100s F. the rain really flushed a lot of my soil mix nutes out. battling trying to bring them back on track. have them all sorted out except for HSC sour diesel. new growth coming out yellowed. got to keep it on alaska fish fert even after top of the month top dress coming up. always something to play with in the garden.
building something elaborate just wasn’t in the cards this year. constant rain and abuela’s recent extended stay in the hospital threw things off. it’s already halfway through the season. to save time, i re-used the rail system from last year, but got it further up off the ground with some bricks. i put a lot of time in putting in the new lawn this spring. want to preserve it as much as i can. the dogs are still going to tear sh^t up running around it but what can you do?
will work on the top cover this coming week. just say no to drones and choppers.

The Autos are stretching and flowering. gotta say that Going2fast 's scarlet grapes are throwing some heavy frost early in the process. impressive. BF purple punch is coming along nicely. wish there had been more lateral branching… but there was no sun for a month… sooo… i’ll take what i can get. super bummed the first seed failed and this one is the last. i really like purple punch.
missing from the outside garden is Seedsman The White OG. it is still inside getting it’s 2nd set of leaves on. i dunno what it’s going to be able to produce at this late in the game, but it will get tossed outside at some point. it’s pot is ready to go. i will put it in with the autos tho. no space on the rails.
weather has been clear and sunny. plants have been vegging hard and getting their stretch on. i see flowersign on most of the photoperiods now. everything seems to be back on track health wise. only issue is still with HSC sour diesel. still have a few branches showing the yellowed new growth. the rest of it’s branches are back green. weird. hopefully it continues to green up before it flips in a few more weeks.
Rainbow Kush is a beast! besides blue dream auto, i think this RK is taking 2nd prize for biggest auto in a 4gal to date. glad i moved it out of the space to outside so it could stretch out… too bad i supercropped the top tho… wish i hadn’t, but then again, i got a LOT of same sized cola tops now…
just a quickie update.
Seedsman’s “The White OG” has been tossed out into the direct sun after 2 days of hardening. it’s got a lot of catching up to do… so best get at it. this is spartexas.
seems to be doing ok. i see some deep green new growth popping out. get some.
