Purple Unicorn #2 clone from previous grow (got smashed by air filter)
They look nice and happy. Can’t wait to see how the mwcb turns out for ya. I have been interested in those. Once again always love your variety of strains.
Thanks, brother! Since this round has been flipped I’m now sprouting seeds for the next.
I’ve got your 5 seeds of Subcool’s (Jill’s?) The Flav (Romulan x Space Queen (Romulan x C99)).
This will be a seed preservation run, all thanks to the donation by this guy @Swe-can!
6 seeds of Bodhi’s Phone Home (Triangle Kush x Wookie), 3 seeds of Ice River Genetics Deep 6 (Death Star x Chem 4), and a single bean of Subcool’s (Jill’s) Jillybean (Orange Velvet x Space Queen), originally from @AllOra. If that Jillybean grows then I may have to throw it in with the seed run mix.
Here’s a smoke report from a test run of @anonymous4289 Soloberry3 (Goji OG x Solo’s Stash). I had three females, all slightly different. These were run un-topped with only a relatively short veg. I’m sure I could increase the yield with topping and training into a bush.
Soloberry3 #1 was a quick finisher in just 8/9 weeks. Very frosty, slight purpling of buds, nice compact medium sized flowers. The dried bud has a soft scent, not strong at all. Almost like a light creamy sweetness and laundry detergent mixed together. The smoke is smooth with a balanced high, but not as strong and lasting as the other two. 1.5 oz in a 3 gal, med/low yield.
Soloberry3 #2 was a standout by it’s stringy flower clusters. Extremely frosty but such a paltry yield. It took almost to 10 weeks before I cut her down. These dried buds smell similar to #1, again a fairly light scent. This time more of the laundry cleaner smell and less sweetness, maybe some berry and citrus notes. The smoke is a little bit harsh, expansive, and fairly potent. Gives me a head rush, almost disorienting. Slightly less than 1oz in a 3 gal, low yield.
Soloberry3 #3 was the standout in about every category except for the longer flowering time. This is one I’d run again if I took cuts. She got surprisingly purple in late flower and stacked buds nicely. Smelled delicious the whole way through. The dried buds reek of berries and gas. The smoke is smooth, powerful, and uplifting. The berry dankness does translate a bit in the taste. It went a little over 10 weeks and netted over 2 oz in a 3 gal, medium/high yield.
Yeah man that #3 is a banger for sure. My wife thinks it smells like Trix cereal. It’s only been jarred for a couple days and we keep cracking into it, though it did hang dry for nearly 2 weeks.
And I’ll take that risk every time. I love how every seed is something no one else has tried yet. I grow for myself and don’t really need big yields anyway.
I put this clone of Cherry Queen into flower as soon as it was rooted, just to see. I cut it early at 50-some days today to make some edibles with it and clear a spot for a bigger plant. Hard to see but this top cluster is like the size of my head. The inside bud is white from lack of light. Looks like it could be a mold magnet in the wet months. Unfortunately this cut throws nanners in late flower. Got to go.
My cherry queen cut will grow colas that big and it is a mold magnet. I actually threw the mom in the flower tent to fill a hold so im guess im not keeping her anymore. I have more seeds though.
I run water only. My soil mix is probably too hot after having been re-amended so many times. Most all strains seem to be able to adjust to it though.
Not sure how many OMG crosses you’ve tried from Bodhi but they few I’ve done have been on the leafy side. This cherry Queens take forever though. That’s why I’m just as happy to make it into edibles.
