The Canadian Contingent (Part 1)

I’m inclined to agree with you. Especially since they’ve been sold out for who knows how long.

Woo freedom! I try very hard to shake the paranoia that comes with having been under the radar for so many years

Has anyone been charged with home growing that actually…owns a house there yet? Like within the 4 plant limit per Canadian household???

Sounds like your premier has his pulse on things as usual, Manitoba (excuse my 'tarian bias) has always been the province who’s people solve their own shit while politicians keep doin fuck all for ya. We kinda see you as some of the toughest and industrious Canadians, who can get nasty on a Saturday night in the Peg.

You know ‘shits getting real’ at the Woodbine Hotel when the other guy takes out his teeth and pockets 'em. :face_with_symbols_over_mouth: :flushed: :sunglasses:

That area is getting full of hipsters now , and why would any woman petition to have that place made unisex , were women lining up to hang out there ?, it was the last Men Only hotel left in city for those who don’t know ,:metal:

i dont really see it happening. fighting it, especially to the supreme court, would be super expensive and unfortunately i don’t think there’s any cannabis activist lawyers in manitoba who would do it pro bono.

i think anyone who’s that serious about cannabis activism in manitoba already has their medical license to grow anyways

Maybe it just takes the right lawyer to get busted.

or a member of the ‘right’ community with a possible monetary gain from said challenge…blah blah blah lol. Seems the ones who can defend themselves in court, are seldom up on those type of charges,…Ever. Ahh beats the gulag I suppose, are they really charging people for home growing or just tacking it on with the cystal meth and weapons charges type of thing??

possibly a laid off manitoba LP legal rep though…got the motivation LOL

Looking to amend my license to ACMPR from MMPR, I would shit a brick if I was approved for 244!!! I have a good family doc and a long history of cannabis being a successful treatment for various med issues, I remember I had a large carry so maybe that translates to the bigger amount I can run. I will push for the max even though I’m not sure where they would end up

Keep us posted of what you find out, I’ve been thinking about ACMPR as well. All I see is a bunch of ‘consultants’ charging a sliding scale (more plants = more money). There has to be a better way.

I was sent by my Doc to these people. I have to fill out a questionnaire before every renewal, how it helps me with my pain and other stuff, and I have to go in and take a piss test, which I think is for opiates, which costs $15 and thats the only charges. My licence is for 4.5 gr a day or 22 indoors plants.

Yeah its a joke really but its super cheap and easy.

Thanks! I’ll dig into that.
The ‘consultants’ I looked at earlier were charging several hundred (maxxed around 4 hundred and something) each year…

Thanks for this Shadey, I sent an online request, seems quite a bit easier than my memories of dealing with Health Canada last time. I know my Doc will be happy if someone else takes this on as she wasn’t particularly stoked ( as it was time-consuming and bureaucratic in nature, she kept saying " I just want you to have access to treatment that works for you". I had spent nearly 5 years being a pill-popping guinea pig while navigating chronic pain and sleep issues while all along I kept telling the various specialists that cannabis was providing way more effective treatment without the life-threatening side effects of the various medications I was prescribed) But because we literally exhausted all applicable and some experimental treatments she went to bat for me.
