The Central American landrace and heirloom thread (Part 1)

I’d top them if they are outdoors. Still some time for good branching. Anytime you feel they are too small just go to 2 gallon and they will double in size in a couple weeks if they are less than 8 weeks into flower.

@Upstate
It does look like a lady bug; hopefully it will scare any pests away :blush:

Old Silversides looks amazing. I bet you make quick work of grinding that for joints; pinch a nug, pull the stem and you’re good to go!

Show them how to rock that PigeonTek, OG!

And @Lambchopped good reminder there. The lambsbread plants are still pretty short on the reveg. I probably ought to let them get a little bigger being that they will kick into flower a lot faster. Thanks for the heads up/ reminder

Figured I might as well take an update pic before I thin some of these fan leaves put. My my my… four days can make a nice difference :slightly_smiling_face: (Hygrometer for scale)

Note: just noticed the internode spacing :sweat_smile: oof

That last pic, takes me right back to cloning nearly a thousand OG plants a day up in Humboldt

That structure is so familiar.
We would snip right above where the branch started to double up, so that you take one clone and then the plant grows two branches in its place.

Wow. That’s one of the most interesting plants I’ve ever seen. One little suggestion, if you don’t mind: Get a grinder with the kief screen in the bottom of it, and use only that one with this plant/strain. Eventually, you’ll have a pure sativa hash. That would be awesome.

@Old-Ron

Old Ron’s Colombian Gold (freekers preservation) out in the sun.

7 weeks in veg…some nice side growth coming now.

Edit actually they are coming on 9 weeks since germed ( just done my sums wrong

Oh I just stuff the whole entire bud, stem and all, right into a pipe lol. I wouldn’t want to hurt the buds by grinding them up. Unnecessary with this one anyway it’s so loose. The sativa hash idea is a good one though. When I’m stripping the calyxes off of the main stems there’s a massive pile of stem resin left over. I use a glass table and scrape it with a credit card afterwards.
I will make a promise to you now though. If I can get myself a greenhouse built by next spring, I will grow a massive old silver sides plant that will give me enough weed to make some hash out of and still have my beloved ganja to smoke. No doubt it would be epic stuff! I imagine this particular plant around 10 ft tall and 8 ft wide. If I can make that happen I will die a happy man.

Oh heck yeah & thanks for asking!

I’m going tomix up the soil today so the biochar gets active before next weeks up potting.

I’m pretty clueless when it comes to biochar other than knowing that it’s some great stuff. I added a bunch to my soil mix directly last year without soaking it in anything and I had a hell of a time keeping up with nitrogen thereafter. Probably lost 90% of the leaves on the Kashmir I was growing. I basically used pieces of coal that didn’t burn in my wood stove. From what I understand it’s the same thing as what you have. Is that your understanding? Did yours go through any other steps before being packaged? Is it safe to use yours so soon in the soil mix? Sorry to bombard you with questions but I would love to use biochar so quickly in a soil mix if it is safe.
Plants are looking good!

Here’s my Oaxaca in the bucket.

And the one in the raised bed. It’s the one on the right.
I underestimated how big these plants were going to get. Oops :rofl:

And a close up of one of the flowers. My aphid problem is getting worse by the day.

Oh my god I’m laughing my ass off right now! Pretty obvious it’s the one on the right LOL. You mean it’s the tree next to the plant in the red bucket:grin::grin:. And what a beauty you have in the bucket by the way, first picture. Nice narrow leaves on that one. Hard to tell what phenotype you have or phenotypes you have at this point. Once they get a little further in flower they really show their personality. I’m quite certain the one in the ground is the tall stretchy type but you never know. The one in the bucket looks like one of the tall ones too.
