The Central American landrace and heirloom thread (Part 1)

It took 8 weeks for the seeds to get to me, but they made it. Packaging was primitive but nothing( surprisingly) was damaged. Big corporations are growing massive cannabis crops in East Africa now. All the local farmers want to grow skunk or Kush. If you have interest in these East African varieties I would jump on them now. This guy could decide he’s done selling seeds next month . The only source I’ve ever seen for East African genetics. Exotic Alchemy on Instagram has a Lambsbread that flowers 12 to 14 weeks… while the original flowered closer to 20 weeks… so it’s more of an heirloom than a land race at this point , and with that flowering time you can’t guarantee purity. I think tropical seed company or Underground seeds carries a Lambsbread as well. Oldschool breeders association has one too.
If you are looking for unhybridized lambs bread I would get that African variety

Yeah, i just talked with him yesterday… He asked if I would be willing to receive a couple packages from him and forward it to Canada. Because of covid he can’t ship it direct right now. Not allowed.

No nothing yet still waiting

Boy, I would like to have a long list of those strains coming out of there. Their continued existence is already in peril, most likely. Sooner the better to acquire them.

Who are you talking about?

is there a website?? i searched and found nothing but other seeds that are not related to cannabis, thanks, 20 week flower time wow, but it maybe worth it just to see

That’s the flowering time of the original Lambsbread. I don’t know what they’ve done with it since 1955 in Ethiopia, but the looks, terpenes and effect line up with what Lambsbread is supposed to be.

Happy to help. The Malawi gold from the real Seed Company flowers 14 to 16 weeks. The land race team Malawi flowers closer to 16. The Real Seafood Company Malawi is tamed for indoors. I found them easy to control in a small container. They definitely had some pineapple smells, and a very strong High. I don’t think I experienced the best quality that can be experienced with this variety… I hosed it down repeatedly to get rid of mites and certainly washed away some terpenes and resin in the process. I recommend it. It was a great sativa. Good yield

I think they have a cross they call “CheesyBread”:rofl::rofl::rofl:

Fuckin auto-correct. At least it’s good for a few laughs.

Nick said the Malawi I got from him was wild. He had a worked version, but he sent me those specifically.

I have some from a friend I traded with. Hers went 17 weeks. It is a great head high, very smooth. Nice relaxing body effects. Didn’t make me crash like some.

She had a few issues during curing. Wound up a little drier than I think it should be. Probably lost some quality there.

There’s a way to slow down the drying process or partially hydrate bone dry ganja. Go buy a new ceramic planter pot from the store. A small one, the same size as water cooler paper cups. Smash it into pieces. Take a few small pieces and soak them in spring water. Now, take those pieces and place them in a small jar with the dry buds. It should only take a few hours. The buds will rehydrate, partially. Just enough to keep them from crumbling like ash between your fingers. Don’t leave the ceramic pieces in the jar after the buds have rehydrated.

This should only be done in extreme cases, but it will work.
