Thereā€™s about to be a couple thousand seeds of the Panama floating around OG. Shouldnā€™t be too hard to pick some beans upšŸ˜

My family and I decided we are moving to Mexico last month and now with the change in cannabis laws that went through yesterday Iā€™ll have a little more bounce in my step.

I look forward to sending you some of my finds and also testing some stuff down the line. We will be based in the Sayulitaā€™s area :mexico:

Wow! And you live in the US now? Big change. I bet it will be a wonderful place to live. Probably an awesome climate to live and grow in.
@Elchischas thatā€™s excellent news about the Mexican landraces. I always thought there must be somebody high up in the mountains that held onto the old genetics. After smoking some of it, I wiould think a lot of people have those genetics. I know I will never be without oaxacan again. Looking forward to seeing your photos. Just keep posting and reading posts and you will be able to share a picture before too long at all.

The Colombian gold I smoked reminded me of the golden squares from captain crunch with a faint lemon funk on the back end. The Killamanjaro was very earthy with mild sweetness (maybe somewhat berry-ish if I recall correctly) and musk.

Holy sweet Manoli! Who do I talk to to bring some fine central america to grace this island of mine?

Iā€™m not sure exactly. He says these are probably Acapulco Gold. They are beautiful looking sativas, thatā€™s for sure. I donā€™t know where the photos came from, but I do believe they are recent. Maybe last season?

Youā€™ve just re-invigorated me! Itā€™s so incredible to know that type of cannabis experience is still possibleā€”it really gives me hope. Youā€™ve done an absolutely incredible job with those plants. Exotic, gorgeous, and vigorous!

Nice central location you are moving to. Excellent climate for cultivating cannabis I would imagine. Are they going to allow home growing?

Thanks my friend. It was a great distraction from the cold winters here growing them both. The genetics truly are special. Excellent high from the Oaxacan. My only regret is that I didnā€™t get to smoke Panama, but I could tell that theyā€™re high-quality genetics . At least Iā€™ll have plenty of seeds to put away to make sure that someday I get to try it seedless. It appears from the photos above that there are still treasures to be found South of the border in Mexico. As good as this Oaxacan is, the knowledge that there are even better( these canā€™t be the best, good as they are)genetics to be found in Mexico is very enticing. I would love to try them allšŸ˜. What I have tried has left me wanting more. With legalization people will be more open about the old lines that they have continued to grow and preserve all these years. I think you will find something good. Your timing for your trip couldnā€™t be better. Hybrids dominate the market down there as it is now. With legalization they could become even more dominant.

Looks like 8 plants are allowed for home grown, Iā€™m not sure if that is per adult or per householdā€¦ also a permit will be needed but that sounds pretty straight forward to attain.

2 big stomper local land races outdoors and 6 hybridā€™s in a tent for that night time smoke should be sufficient.

@FattyRoots Iā€™ve seen Mexican plants hit 20ft in pictures. Iā€™d say two of those ought to do you for the year LOL. Canā€™t wait to see what genetics you find in the area. Hopefully something unhybridized.

Hi everyone. This is my first post here on Overgrow. I found this very interesting thread and decided to join. These are my Zacatecaā€™s Tributes (BSHW x 79Oaxacan). Getting very nice cedar, pine, and eucalyptus smells off some of the stems. Looking forward to seeing these flower out!

Welcome to OG! Nice looking plant. Do you have the weather to finish that or will you have to bring it in? Thatā€™s supposed to be an excellent variety you have there. Keep posting updatesā€¦
Sounds as if the oaxacan genetics are shining through. Lots of cedar, Pine smells in Oaxaca
