The first Canadian Frost Cup!

Cuts made!

I got 6 stellar snips sitting in rockwool and looking forward to throwing down fish bones.

The veg on this STINKS hard in the best way possible.

I cant say what this strain is or how it smells or it’s gonna be stoopid obvious it’s from me come judging time!

@Bayarealivingsoil If everything goes smoothly I think what I want to do next year is get 10 judges from Canada and 10 from the USA. Have it open to both countries. USA judges score USA entries and Canadian judges score Canadian entries. Highest score between both countries wins. That way both can take part but no border crossing takes place.
I will have to track down someone willing to receive, repack, and send the entries out to the judges on that side tho.

Were you a judge in 2022?

Yup… I still have the ridiculously silly 2022 judges metal… :+1:

I bought the 2023 sativa pack (meh to terrible) that’s why I had samples to check (they are slated for tincture).

I am not competing, I am just Candian and want to show off a wee nug of my outdoor.
Quebec grown. I still have some outside. It may be the best I have tried running outside.
Breath MintsxGarlic Mnts. I recommend. I got my pack from Fenec Genetics.

add: I dug a hole and filled it at the bottom with sticks, a layer of last year’s food scraps mixed with one bag of cow poop from last year. Then I added 30 bags of cheap topsoil and 5 bags of sheep poo. 4 right away and one poop bag a few weeks after when needed.
no salts, no teas, nothing fancy. never feed them, I let the rain do the work. I am a strong believer in never giving a plant time or money. Just how I do things.

Sheep poo, this will do wonders on its own. I am surprised that no varmints dug up the soil for the food scraps. One year I did that, and the raccoons destroyed my plants. That’ll never happen again.

No, they simply list ‘finalist’ or ‘winner’ :frowning:
They used to publish a spreadsheet of the results (along with the original sample numbers)…
Last year they changed that to a list of the winners and finalists but no reference to the sample numbers so no way to relate your results to theirs…
I’ve wondered why they did that…:face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Sheep poo crushed it this year.
I figure it was the fact I dug very deep is why the animals did not bother and also I have a working food scrap pile and a permanent compost pile they can get at any time.also they are old food scraps just look like soil and some egg shells.

Thank you kind sir

It’s a cut from early 2000’s too! Been looking forward to growing it out and now I can with gusto

I wonder… Would it be beneficial at all to have another thread for growrrs in the competition, so they can talk about whatever they’re growing without the judges seeing anything? The judges could mute the thread (not sure how to hide it from the judges) so they don’t see anything…

Just a thought

They/we can start a group PM thread with only the growers invited. I can picture it now…
