1/8/23 update - RIP @oleskool830, a model OG citizen 
and really cool dude
I had to give up my carport because the wind known as a ‘Kona low’ took my silly popup canopy & threw it 10’. 
Surprisingly only broke one segment so it can be mended & re-used. The dogs liked having it. 
The plastic & wood & screws plus plenty of extra was about 300$, as opposed to over a grand to set up a stout greenhouse… & I just need to finish this last run so I can take a break when the rainy season begins.
Right now I’m about to chop Sour Dubb x Snow Lotus BX from @GrowHard - smells of sour & bubblegum, small airy buds starting to foxtail at day 64. Mixed resistance to septoria amongst 3 plants.
Recently harvested @Scissor-Hanz’s Tangie x Orange Sunshine & it’s great 
A bit leafy but those are all resinous AF. Fair tradeoff.

The Ancestral Skunk just plain sucks. 
Like 1%THC & no smell. Good for cats. 
Here we have Skunk Dawg & the Maui Jane stuff at day 22(1 plant at 28)…Royal Oil, Skunk Dawg BX 1 & 2(actually out-crosses)*, Grape Sherb fem*. The smells kinda suck IMO except for the Skunk Dawg itself. It’s truly Skunky with no chem, maybe some cheese or BO in the background, no chem, but plenty of skunk. I will be looking into some BX2 seeds from Matchmaker Genetics(nearby) since my STS project only produced nanners, no pollen.
The second pic shows what I have to do when it’s breezy; all that perlite is great for moving plants but the wind agrees 
and most of them have fallen over at least once…onto the buggy lawn. Hate that shit. Lava rock in the bottom solves it mostly, but ironic that I have no gravel pile ATM.’
As to what to grow & how to grow next year… shit, it’s been a battle adapting to the humidity & rain. The pest pressure has been lower than California was, at least for now, but the fungal issues are outta this world compared to Sacramento’s 9% RH days…
At first I thought some combination of terpenes/etc. was the key to resisting budrot, hit my head against the wall a bit, looked to what actually grows in this kind of climate, looked at landraces & 
yikes those are not the weed I been smokin’. It finally clicked after listening to the Indian Landrace Exchange’ interview with Heavy Dayze/Potcast & checking out all the great pics on his site(fullpowerselections dot com) … those folks primarily harvest the resin into hash 
& burn the bushes for mosquito control
So that’s depressing; I can’t handle & don’t desire hash throughout the day all day every day. But I DO need medicine that often & I like flower. The solution isn’t those wispy beans-on-a-kabob-skewer landraces, but somewhere in between… to dial back the weed clock to the late 80s to mid 90s & explore those strains. Stuff with grape size buds, plenty of spacing & not too dense, but not so airy & tiny as to be a hassle.
My seed collection is still pretty good. I will keep adding but my real desire is to grow the whole collection out. That’s way more braggable than having a bean horde, IMO.
I recently bumped into @dragonsflamegenetics here on OG(thanks again man) & he’s confirmed that growing here is a m’f’n PITA so I feel a little better about myself 
I had a feeling it’d be basically indoor-only & require a massive solar upgrade investment to grow like I did in the sun back home. And I hate indoor & growing indoors only when I have too. The struggle goes on.

Too bad I topped it before I noticed.
& less stank than big plants. My last run had everyone smelling it, mostly due to the Skunk Dawg which is very skunky. There are NO skunks in Hawaii so the smell is a 100% giveaway here.
