The Lazarus Grow

Everyone got a dose of GH and Floralicious (I found an old bottle with just enough left for these ladies), since they are all seeded I think they can use the extra nutrients to finish developing. They’re looking pretty good.

Nice update @Hippiechik.

I’m so excited that I can barely stand it! I’ve waited nearly 20 years for this.

Well, we’re now six weeks in and the girls are starting to bulk up. They’re getting seriously frosty, too. I’m planning to take them down on May 19, if they are ready.

The girl on the left is Orange Goji x Amnesia Haze, and honestly she has all the traits that I am looking for. Short, stout, and thriving in the conditions I have provided for her. The one on the right is Grape Pie x Snow Lotus, and I like her as well. All the others just grew too tall for the room.

Well guys, we’re getting down to the wire now. I will be harvesting them on the 19th, to allow the seeds they’re growing to fully mature.

They’re all starting to get a bit top heavy, especially the big girl who is slumped over in the corner. She’s a fat frost bomb. I believe she’s an Orange Goji x Amnesia Haze.

The autoflower Dirty Martini is getting the chop soon as well. Considering that it’s run as long as my photos, it’s a disappointment as far as early finishing goes. It’s nice and short, though.

Everything looks great. You probably know this, but worth mentioning, let your seeds dry in a cool dark place for 4 to 5 weeks to improve germination.

Well, it’s been a fun ride, but it’s coming to an end. The girls have dried down a bit, and are ready to be chopped tomorrow. I am using the roots, so I want the plant to dry naturally a bit before harvesting it. It has a good side effect of withering the unwanted leaves and exposing the developed buds, too.

One major problem is that a good portion of seeds are undeveloped. I think that my male (who was in another room and covered) somehow managed to sneak a bit of extra pollen into the growroom. It’s annoying, but I have had seedy weed before and it’s still usable. I will have to sort out the underdeveloped ones, but I should have plenty to give away. @Tejas I will put them directly into my fridge, but I’ll store them in paper coffee filters so that air can circulate freely and let them dry thoroughly.

I figure yield is about an oz a plant, maybe less. Not great, but not terrible either. Doesn’t really matter much, as this crop is entirely for myself anyway lol.

These last two girls are my “keepers.” They have the growth traits that I want to work with. The rest of them are just too tall for my space and would be better suited for an outdoor garden or a larger room.

An ounce a plant this go around, next grow quarter pounders!

I have to get my lighting and ventilation dialed in better before that can happen. High temperatures are a big problem, and until I can afford to upgrade, I’ll have to wait until cooler weather before I do another run.

In the meantime, though, I can grow some other plants in there under the LEDs. I’m trying to get a bunch of perennials started from seed, and I can use the room for them. By the time they are ready to transplant this fall, it should be cool enough to fire things back up.
