The LED hack shack and other tall tales

Chonkers there, that’s a great strain for SOG for sure.

It’s not bad lookin, just looks so small in the empty cabinets.

The cheese have to be started in 12/12 , and pruned a little to get them to make a single cola.
It branshes out like crazy, if they get a little veg first.

Im looking forward to trying the Nephthys in the cabinets, I was breading that for SOG as thats how I was growing back in the day as well.
As I recall and from lookin at old pictures, it did fairly well and had a nice structure.

Day 13 Leftside Cheese

The pH had dropped, so figuring the 1.3 Ec is still a little hot for them.
Topped the res with tap water, dropping the Ec and dropped the pH back down.

Ec 1.2
pH 5.63 (ish)

The results are in for the test grow in the new LED cabinets

Just some random plants, to show the avarage size of them.

I hit 1 gpw, and thats very satisfying for a test grow.
A good amount of the plants, where twice the size of the smaller ones.
Now it’s just a question of getting them more even, but still it’s 0.2 gpw better then the best result I have had with the Cheese in the HPS room.

Can’t complain about that!

Given it’s totaly uncured, it smokes well and the taste profile is strong.
No coughing, but not smooth either. That will come for sure, given it’s actually smokeable now.

For the look of the buds, id say there is little difference to the HPS buds.
Good trichome coverage, nice firm buds and nothing wrong with the high either!
But deffently seems richer in flavor/terpins!

Day 15 LS Cheese

Topped the res with a bit of tap water
The yellow lookin clones, seems to be the ones rooted in soil.

The HPS room is starting to look ripe, here a day before week 14 ends for the Tohici99 on the back end of the table.

The cheese in front is on day 68, and finishing up nicely.

A nice result, if I may say so the harvest from the LED closet.
Each box contains 203-205 grams.

Still got a plant to harvest, that was replaced a week into the grow.
Just stuck it in the HPS room and will chop it with the rest in a few days.

Each cabinet run at 207 Watt, so even if I only get 6 gram on the last plant (it will be more)
I’ll hit the 1 gpw, with no veg.

Impressive man, that is good value for the cost of producing it.

Holy cat nip batman! That’s an amazing harvest! They dried fast! Congrats and enjoy!

Yeah it’s the summer, hard to control and let it dry as slow as possible.
The cure will prolly take longer now, but I got time for that it’s okay.

Thank you, that was the goal.

Now it will be interresting to see, how will a pheno picked for SOG growing do in there?
Can’t wait to get around to do some Nephthys clones, in the LED closets and see how they will do!

Trimmin the Tohici99 on day 101

Sap oozing from all the plants, with sugary cannabis sap.

Got this bit of info from another user on a different forum.

“sap, can be clear, brown, red, or tan. This sap usually contains a variety of organic and inorganic compounds, mainly sugars, and mineral nutrients, and potassium. Guttated sap exudates most commonly exude from cannabis, along both sides of the leaf axil, where the petioles attach to the stem. Though Guttations typically exude(in most plants) through modified leaf stomata known as hydathodes, in cannabis guttations most commonly exude at the leaf axil, or another part of the stem via a stoma … It’s no worry really, but that sap is effectively a delicious meal for any would be insects and pests”

No pests or insects in my grow, so not been a problem. Found a few sap globs with a hint of mold, but nothing that effected the weed. It was just on the surface of a few sap globs.

Is that because there is too much pressure in the plants system, it has to lower it by releasing the sap?

I have little idea about it, have been too busy harvesting to research it.

Chopped the HPS Cheese

And the Tohici99’s

Had a relaxing evening with a small campfire and looking at the sunset

Nice sunset mate. Are they your horses? I’d be wondering up to have a look at what’s over the hill. Curiosity and cats, y’know
