His first book, teeming with microbes is an incredible book as well, especially for us organic guys. His third book I hear is also good, teeming with fungi. I should get that one to finish off the “lord of the roots” trilogy
Just was reading and saw it’s ur bday so HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRO
All right folks, back on topic.
Been busy trimming some weed, tomorrow is gonna be clean the house, flower room and clone day.
Got the closet’s midt section ready, and pluged in the massive 14,5 watt’s of clone light.
Build some “cloners” LOL
No they prolly won’t be the fastes on the racetrack, but im confident they will cross the finishline.
Yes it’s just a rubbermaid’s turned upside down, and taped on top of the lid in one end.
With a square of felt cloth, this should ensure an even moisture distribution to the clones.
I will root the clones for the next flower run in RW cubes, the rest of the clones are mainly to see it there will be any difference in rooting. Depending on what lights they have been under, but they will all be rooted under 12V 6500K strips.
As a test, I will try and root in small mesh pouches. That I found on Ebay, for next to nothing and I wouldn’t mind not using RW cubes at all. I don’t like to throw them in the trash and our recycle places are monitored, and IMO to big a risk to go there to dump RW rootballs.
I have always used RW cubes, as they are super easy and fast to work with. But Im not making batches of 1200 clones anymore, and raking in cash from an commercial op. A cheaper option would be great, even tho it might take more time to prepare. I don’t care for aero clones, even tho they are easy, the fastest, and cheapest rooting clones of them all. They are also then biggest PITA, to plant in pot’s with hydroton!
Notes on the hacked strips, they are running fine so far and not getting hot. Seems the temp, only gone up a few C degrees on the strip it self, over all room temp seems uneffected. I have tried to turn the fan of, that circulated air in there, as it’s also kinda cooling the strips. Not intentional, but I could hang it from the light without it humming.
@Kingaizen69 Thank you, but thats just a random date I set, if my profile say it’s my Bday. It was a few months ago
Sorry bro sent that reply to the wrong person but happy belated birthday anyway bro
You too, happy belated birthday, or an early congrats if it’s upcomming
Yup next month on the 19th
Oooooo i like this! Can’t wait to find out! Good experiment bro:+1:
I think the cat litter will have the most trouble and as long as you cover the top of the pot that has the broken glass you will have no problem and you will be surprised!
Yes to all, but which is best?
Im pretty sure your right about that, dunno what it’s made from.
It have a strong chemical reaction when I soak it, it turns really hot and almost looks like it’s boiling.
Im pretty sure all of it will work, but how well and how much effort will go into it I don’t know.
Just having fun, and hope it might be entertaining for others as well.
Threw in some kitchen sponges as well - I’ll post more once I am done!
I wouldnt use it then, sounds like it has lye in it. There are some brands that are pure diatomaceous earth. I’ve cloned in that, but not as easy as pure perlite. Also, throw one in a glass of water and change the water every couple of days. That’s old school.
Oh I’m going for the sponges! or the glass if it can stay wet enough and stay covered for light penetration
Can we choose NONE of the ABOVE?
Just a glass of water or plastic water bottle is enough to clone.
Anything acceptable as long as end isn’t exposed to dry air and
your luck holds out a damp paper towel in a bag is enough.
No matter what material, will it allow transplant without filling the
other container with shards of glass or foreign objects…
There will be no free hanging roots, as I mentioned earlier I don’t care much for aero clones.
It’s all fun and games for me, playing around in my new little playground.
Over the years I have heard ppl say a ton of times, that you could grow hydroponics in glass shades if you wanted.
Never seen anyone do it, so for the piss of it why not. And as you can imagin, I can already say, the glass was pretty shitty to work with.
Mainly I wanna see the success rate in coco, compared to RW cubes where I useualy have a 97-100% success rate.
Putin is all Cheese cut’s, rocking the rockwool cubes
The Texas Ranger is rueling the Coco, btw he chopped the coco with his bare hands! Skunk #1 clones (Fem hack)
Might try and flower it again SOG, if I have a high enough success rate
Lovely Linda is trying to clean out the other teams, with her kitchen sponges.
Going to trash once this is done.
Team Honey Badger - Broken Glass, Kitty litter (chemical reaction and all) and crushed hydroton. Team Honey Badger Dont Care.
Also going to be trashed after this test.
About the cloning, this is all done WITHOUT hormones. Rooting hormones are on the list of stuff, that might give the next generation small peepee’s. And even tho I have procreated and not planing on that kind of breeding.
I have a higher success rate without, then I did with both Clonex and Floramon.
All media was soaked in the same 6.0 pH adjusted tap water solution, reading out at 0.6 Ec
After cloning I trimmed all the new moms down, thank you for all the little babys.
Now let’s see what these lights can do, as they have been kinda slow for the first 29 days.
At this point they no longer have to think about growing root’s, they can focus on growing back what I just cut off!
So far the 6000 and 8000K strips are winning for veg, the 6500K 12V strips are not far behind, but much shorter internotes.
The adventure continues!
racecar spelled backwards is racecar!
We even made a track about it a long time ago!
Btw I just went on vacation the next 2 weeks, prolly gonna fuck all the clones up.
You all be safe, play hard and keep medicating!
