The LED hack shack and other tall tales

Got a bunch of hygro and thermometers from china, just sorting thru the ones with the most even readings.

The small cheap ones … well they where all cheap, but the small ones where cheaper.

Nice, I saw the small ones somewhere recently and wondered if I should get a few. Looks like they are not too bad.

Omg I have one of those hygros and seeing those different readings makes me want to spend more money… that’s so stupid :man_facepalming:

I also have three of that exact type (HTC-1) but they all read within 0.1 of each other and match other devices I have.

Looks like you got a bad batch, if one reads 24 next to one reading less than 21 and none read the 22 that all four of the other devices read…

Still, uniformity is something that comes with more expensive devices.

I bought 3 of the larger ones a couple of weeks ago from the dollar store, same as Explorer, mine seem to be better only one, is a degree out compared to my controllers.

I was looking for a couple more but they sold out.

Day 51 on the right side Cheese

Been busy all day, haven’t really messured anything.
But they are leaching, they should be all right for a day or two on their own.

Transplanted today, after I got the ventilation hooked up to the 2nd cabinet.

Hoping the Carbon scrubber will be here tomorrow, tho it will prolly first be here Monday.

Squeesed in a extra row of plants, now we’ll see if all the clones will make it.

Flower Day 1 Left side Cheese

Everything made it thru it’s first day and night, one clone is looking a bit iffy now the lights been on a few hours.

Gave them a bit of nutes, as I think a lot of them look a bit hungry.
This time I am going at it a bit lighter on the food, at least here to begin with.

Mixed 40 ml Gro, micro and bloom (1-1-1) to an almost full res.
Aiming just to bump it up slightly from the 0.9 Ec.
Still mixing the res, but pre readings.

Everything is looking good, did check on them today just didn’t have my phone on me. Then forgot to go back and take pics.

Here is a shot of the new cheese clones, they are doing fine tho one is still looking a bit iffy.

Liftside front skin have been finished, still need a bit of work as I came up short on the OSB plywood.

But it have no impact on the functionality, it’s only a cosmetic issue I can fix when I buy wood for the drying closet.

A peak into the cabinet to the right, thats been running a test grow the past 53 days.
Didn’t get the clones as tall as I wanted this round, but given it was the first run I can easy accept that.

Buds are looking mint, the smell is extreem and everything is doing fairly well.
Lost 2/3 of 1 small plant out of 96, to bud rot.
So I will have to get on with installing canopy fans, in all the cabinets. As soon the budget is there, i’ll buy them.

Busy day, working the outside and inside garden!

Collected more small rocks for the pond

Now the clones room is empty, it’s time to make some clones of the seedlings.
The HPS room and right side closet, will be harvested soon.
Had planned a 4 week sail vacation, but desided that we will use the first two weeks on fixing up the boat.
So I might as well just keep everything running, and hope for the best the two weeks im out sailing.

Fixing the massive lightleak, thats going on around the cubboard doors.

Placed a strip of foam, on the inside of the doors.
Figured it would be the most optimal surface, less likely the get wet and fall off.

Day 55 - found and removed a bit of mold on a leaf, in the middle cabinet.

A few close ups

Gonna have to get the canopy fans installed, as soon as I can afford it!

Next round is coming along nicely, they are doing a lot better then the test grow.
It’s paying off, to start them up more gently.

Here is a “morning” shot 20 min after lights on

Day 4

Perfect timing, getting the panda covers put in yesterday!

A little root porn, if I have to say so.
I was surpriced to see root’s, out of several pots, not just a single one.

Workin on an large aerocloner

Got a bunch of different misters, they where only like 1$ a pack of 20.
Mist pattern
Red = 360 degree
Green = 180 degree
Blue = 90 degree

Mix of red n green - one pump

Mix of all 3, the blue ones are the one shooting a straight beam.

Center of 360 degree misters, two row’s of green 180. Had to add a extra pump.

I will need to test it with all red 360 degree misters, but the first picture is IMO the best lookin pattern.
Given it run’s on one pump, the 3rd option needs twice as much pressure.
