The LED hack shack and other tall tales

Thanks for stopping by @Jellypowered and for all the love, it’s my pleasure.
Im just happy others appriciate the work I share.

It might been the paint still gassin off, or the plywood pine resin seeping thru the paint.
But yeah been delt with, when I move and redo the veg closet. I know how to prep the wood now

I appreciate all the positive comments very much, it’s taken a bit gettin used to. As I just do what ever I do, and don’t think much about it besides.
How do I do this right?
Cos if im not doing it right, im doing wrong.

Today I did the only right thing to do, changed the carbon scrubber in the HPS room.

Now the smell outside seems to be gone, just like that!

Yes the new scrubber is a bit bigger, but main difference is the old one was a Eco/coco carbon scrubber.

For growing I would say, the Eco scrubber is utterly useless!
Maybe for veg but not for flower, they simply won’t cut it.
The scrubber might be a year old now, but 5 weeks into first flower cycle it over powered the scrubber. Been gettin worse, and Cheese is a heavy smelling girl.

BUT im 8 weeks in atm, changed to a Industrial grade scrubber. And I can’t smell anything around the house, now that I have installed it.

Yes it cost twice as much, but being frank. Had I known they where this bad, I would not have brought an Eco Scrubber last year.

Day 58

Found a bit of early stage mold in the middle cabinet, so I chopped the tops of the plants with signs of mold.
There where nothing that bad, it couldn’t just be trimmed away.

Increasing the fight, moved my Dehum from the HPS room to the lung room.
There is better circulation in the HPS room, and the humidity is not as high there as in the LED cab.

Might raise the temps a bit, but it blows dry air up infront of the cabinet intakes.
Was the best option I could think of, with what I have on hand.

Then cramed a table fan into middle cabinet as well, creating a lot of air movement.

Hopefully this will keep the mold at bay, and give me a chance to flower them a bit longer.
The the majority of trichomes are milky, but still a bit from turning amber im afraid.

Leftside Cheese day 6 - We are lookin good!

Been removing some of the bottom “lunchpack” clone leafs, they are yellowing up and the clones are growing fine.

They are starting to form pistils, and settin flowers.
I think they will streach a bit more, this round and this space will be packed.

Canopy fans will be needed for sure, might even have to split up the exhaust.
And run each cabinet on seperet fans, as for now they are sharing a 2x 125 mm to 1x 160 mm box fan.

Day 59 on the test grow

No signs on new mold, the Dehum have helped a bit and the weather have turned around as well.
No rain, plenty of sun.

Gonna have to get the dehum back into the HPS room for the night, don’t wanna risk my Tohici99 gettin mold. Not now, where they are almost 13 weeks into flower.

Topped the res, lowered the pH

Tohici99 day 89 - Two days and we will hit week 13.

Discovered a few nanners here and there, not a lot and they don’t look like they will do any damage.
They haven’t been treated the best, so that they are a bit stressed out is no surprice.
9 day til harvest begins, tho this will be the last strain down.

Chopping the LED closet first, as I need the space for drying.
Then the hope is im able to fit, the plants from the HPS room in the LED cabinet as well.

Once the HPS room is empty and cleaned, the Nephthys clones should be rooted and ready to move in there.
Just aired them out tonight, and they are looking good here on day 7 from cut.
One of the next days, I will start raising the domes for 12 hours at a time.
Giving them more fresh air, and slowly harden them off and let some moistrue vaporice.

Day 60 in the rightside cheese factory

Humidity have stayed in the 55% range all day, just moved the dehum back into the HPS room for the night.

Have done nothing to the res today

Day 8 in the leftside cheese factory

Things are growing on, folie fed them today with fishmix.
They look happy for the small nutrient bump, will let take a look at them tomorrow and see it it’s about time to give them a bit more to live of.

Zero changes made to this res here either, been busy working on the boats today. Got some epoxy work tomorrow on one boat, then fiberglass work on the bigger sailboat one of the next days.

No rest for the weary!

Thank you Tomcat

Had a minor set back today, forgot I had raised the dome last night.
To start hardening of the clones, but forgot to lower it when I got up this morning.

Sprayed them, staked them and put the dome back on. Turned the ligths off, only just turned it on for an hour before lights out for the night.

We will take a look at them tomorrow, it should be clear if they have made it or not by then.

Minor set back

Most of those should bounce back with the dome on. The three that are good must ave some good root development already.

Yes! Team Putin! That cheese from what I’ve seen has that characteristic jade sawtooth leaf. Hard to explain. They look like they’d cut you. Awesome dude.

Yeah a few might not make it, but the majority should be okay.

@Baltimore Team Putin 4Ever!

The new Putin 2020 Calender is out, and this year I got a notice about it. LOL

Nothing else to do, then order the 2020 grow planner and keep tradition.

I guess there isn’t much sale in the 2019 Calender any longer, cos I got a bunch of freebies. :fire: :fire: :fire:

One I have, but the two others I don’t but even better I can use these for the LED cabinets the next 6 months.

Clear coating the inside of the holes for water proofing? Stellar stuff. Love this log and your projects.

Thanks mate, well I think I might end up dutting down a white top coat.
The idea was to finish it off with clear epoxy, but then I counted the holes and realised I made a minor fuck up.

There is only 7 and not 9 row’s of holes, so it’s not 153 but only 119 spots and I don’t care to redo it right now.
On the other hand, I don’t care to spend the money on epoxy on it given I fucked up.

It will serve the purpose, I can get it to work and always make a different lit for it later on when I have the time.

Nephthys clones day 10 - somewhat back on track I think

They have recovered well from yesterdays mistake

A few is still looking a bit limp, they might not make it but the majority looks fine.

9 weeks

Had to start chopping, have limped them thru week 8 and im loosing the battle.
So before the mold takes over, I think it’s better to chop now.

Have taked the Cheese at 9 weeks before, and it’s still very nice smoke.
Got the moms in the HPS room, they will go the full 10 weeks.
Now I’ll just leave the dehum in there, and it should keep everything in check.

A nice single cola cheese, a bunch of them also have a bit of branching at the bottom.
This is IMO ideal look for SOG, as they give room for good air flow.
Maybe a bit taller, but I think this looks okay.
On the other side, if I can grow 36-40 of these in each cabinet.
I can’t even imagin what the GPW would be, but I am already fairly impressed.

Test grow m all!

Let’s see how the trimmed, dry buds will tip the scale.

Day 10

Lookin fine, running a bit hot in there.

Have upped the watering to 5 min every hour, to see if I can cool the roots down a bit.

Looks like I’ll need an AC unit for the summer time, gonna try and up the ventilation first.
That won’t fix the humidity issues tho, so looked at a 7000 BTU AC unit with dehumidifyer.

Day 11

Topped the reservior with tap water, bumped the nutes a bit again.
pH have been raising slowly, so figure it’s all right.
Haven’t pH adjusted, will give them a day or two with a little higher pH.

Chop Chop and upsidedown

Looking at it, it don’t seem like there is a whole lot.
Buds are rock solid tho, and covered in trichomes.
So it will be interresting to see what the scale says, once it’s all dry and off the sticks.
