Loving it all buddy!
The grow, photos, and of course the graphics and comics. Looking at you too @Heliosphear. I can’t wait to see the flower stretches.
Consider yourself lucky that you only have one grumpy gal, lol. I have seven! Crazy is where I’m headed atm also.
The Monster Mash
13 March 2023
The girls start week 7 today
‘ So, tap me out and tap me into you
Heal my brain and my body too
Balance my chemistry hydrate these cells
Cuz the body talks and the meditation helps
The body talks and meditation helps’ Nahko
The madness is talking
Tell me what does it say
When we come together
We find our way
It’s my choice to be joyful
I’ve given up on sorrow
This is my story, this is my vision -
‘Everything right on time’
This post goes out to my best friend on The OG (you know who you are) … this is for you brother
Love your taste in lyrics
He definitely has the right words at the right time. When you least expect it and when you need it the most
This DancingLeaf.gif was created with only two images. Flipped and pasted for a total of 4 images. Clean up and background removal by me for you. Less than 280k it’s small enough to grab and use just about anywhere

Hild -A and Hild -B
Remember the point @Franklin brought up about the possibility of more than two phenotypes? It’s something we’ve considered and knew was possible. I do believe within the Hilda phenotype there is at least two varieties. Plant A has the girth, structure and fat leaves of her sister. What she doesn’t have that Plant B is loaded with is - problems. Plant B appears to grow faster and larger but is riddled with complaints. Her leaves curl, she’s very picky about nutes and pH and it is a constant battle just to keep her leaves in good enough shape to do their job. But damn she’s a big ol gal!
Have a great week folks and I’ll keep you posted on any significant changes.
BREAKING NEWS
Really interesting to see how a selfed plant can result in such different expressions. Shows how true breeding seeds can be so hard to produce, and why people love clones. The original Frankenstein must have had lots of heterozygous pairs that randomly shifted when crossed. Perhaps that’s one reason that the original Frankenstein was so special
@Franklin we are finding some very interesting results with good ol Hilda. There will be MUCH more coming up on that topic relatively soon.
That’s what happens with multi-poly-hybrids like most modern cannabis plants.
Doesn’t that show that @JohnnyPotseed had a solid idea how he wanted the final Frankie to end up? Selective breeding will produce repetitions of genetic traits.
I don’t know Jack about plants. But you see that in generations of horses that were bred for a certain purpose.
I am NOT trying to be a shit disturber honest! but…
THAT is exactly the issue. Frankenstein did end up EXACTLY how it was planned out. A great mix of background genetics that produced THE ONE - actual Frankenstein plant. By cutting! Great if you own the plant and good for you if were/are close enough to acquire a cutting or were able to get a viable one shipped to you. Good on ya!
However, cutting only is not REALLY practical or a reliable way to promote or propagate your specific strain. It WILL give you the same plant every time… but you can’t store 'em in the crisper or freezer until you’re ready for your next grow. Human nature being what it is we want and often require EASY (all the way around). For cannabis that means seeds… it was inevitable at some point.
Once Frankenstein was bred to Frankenstein and seeds were introduced the ball game not only changed but moved to a completely different park. It’s not bad that @JohnnyPotseed knew what he was doing and what he desired as an outcome. It is likewise not bad that @GrouchyOldMan and the Frank N Beans Team have in essence removed the essence from the cutting only Frankenstein and placed all her mixed up genetic code into seed form. Variation is just part of the game. The trick is finding out which one or one(s) are worth keeping and which ones are empty or undesirable mixes.
Frankenstein from cutting took some time care and love to develop just like the strain she produced: Frankenstein’s Daughter. Growing out Frankenstein once she was rooted was a breeze and that trait carries over to many of her sister plants. Frankenstein’s Daughter on the other hand is a baby strain and as such will require some diligence from it’s growers to help promote the best possible phenotypes out of this genotype.
EDIT
*As was stated at the very start - The starting photo was chosen carefully - on purpose
From time to time this could turn into a real balancing act as we juggle excitement, hurt feelings, expectations and desires with just plain old growing pains.
I want to say right off the bat, this is NOT a platform for descension or unrest. The goal here is simply to grow some killer bud provided by the AMAZING OG COMMUNITY and hopefully do it in a way that will help you learn how to increase your yield without too much hassle.
I bow to each of you for your kindness and respect and as always I’m in awe of the OG. Thanks for the opportunity to share and learn and the privilege and joy of doing it amongst such a great group of people!*
And I honestly didn’t think you were. I was just trying to understand the whole genetics of the thing. I’m new to this kind of thing and am intrigued by it all.
When I started in to making the fem pollen, I didn’t even realize how many variations would be produced in that batch of seeds. It’s amazing.
Now I am wanting to find a pheno that resembles the White Russian or Sour Diesel. I kept some fem dust and plan to hit them with some. That is if I find the right pheno.
I never thought you were stirring the pot. lol
@MoBilly I appreciate you my friend.
I hope I wasn’t stirring the pot, either! I don’t think I realized this was a point of sensitivity for people. I agree with your post 1,000%, this is why I’m really interested in true breeding seeds, and also I’m beginning to recognize that true breeding seeds will limit the possibilities of genetic expression to traits that tend to be homozygous, I think anyway? Just marveling at the amazing nature of genetics. I can’t wait to pop my own Frankenstein’s daughter seeds and see what comes out!
It’s a deep bowl. Sometimes you’ve got to stir the pot to get to the good stuff
Everything’s good. We’re all grown ups here who just enjoy tokin’ and talkin’
In the News on this Pi Day:
What happened
(changes are coming)
Last October, President Biden announced he will pardon all prior federal offenses of simple marijuana possession, and also called on the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to review marijuana’s classification under federal law as a schedule one drug, the same classification as heroin and LSD. Several days later, HHS secretary Xavier Becerra confirmed that the agency is ready to reassess cannabis’ status as a Schedule I substance.
As many as sixteen bipartisan congressional lawmakers signed a letter Thursday urging the Biden administration to make marijuana scheduling review available to the public.
Sixteen out of five hundred thirty five… you’re very optimistic. Personally, I find myself a little more pessimistic about the prospect that a letter to Biden from roughly 3% of Congress will make much difference when they eventually inform us that the scheduling remains unchanged, right after the results of the 2024 election come in.
What really scares me is the prospect of the government rescheduling it as Schedule 2, putting the production squarely in the hands of big pharm.
It needs to be descheduled IMO.
