I agree. Cali is on the top! I have some people in ukiah.
Please! We can discuss strains without personal attacks! Respect each other! Thanks.
This is slightly on-topic, but last year, I got an ounce of blue dream from a dispensary in Colorado and it was by far the most psychedelic weed I’ve ever had. I’ve done 50 gram+ heroic doses of mushrooms and mg+ LSD trips before and never had visuals as ‘purely psychedelic’ as I did with this weed. With LSD, and to a lesser extent mushrooms, I get fractals, pulsing and breathing walls, flowing colors. With this blue dream, I got something I’ve never had before–swirling. I had that stereotypical 60s, stoner swirling. Everything in front of me started swirling and then I saw very strange psychedelic, DMT like imagery–that Aztez kind of imagery, it really pervaded the entire smoking experience. The visuals weren’t as strong as a DMT trip nor as clear, obviously, but the patterns were reminiscent of a DMT trip. As the high progressed, it turned into an almost mescaline like empathogenic experience, connecting to life around you. It was a very unpleasant experience the first time, expecting a regular blue dream experience and getting something that heavy. It was the slowest I’ve ever smoked an ounce in my life. It was UNDENIABLY a tryptamine-like experience. It reminded me of Mazatapec mushrooms.
What was that? That wasn’t the Santa Cruz cut was it? How many cuts of blue dream are there? What happened to me? I am heavily seasoned, veteran psychonaut that got pretty heavy into the scene, and I have never heard of such a strong, yet stereotypically psychedelic experience with weed. I’ve never had anything like that happen since with weed.
I run hso bluedream, wife likes it, azure dream the dj short original is hard to get for me.
Glad you like what your growing, but you’re not getting the point. The seeds you found in a bag of blue dream would be crossed by some other strain, so it’s a blue dream cross. If HSO has true blue dream genetics it’s because they either selfed it or out crossed it. It’s not a stabilized strain that is grown from seed yet. Selling a F1 or S1 without working it through generation of inbreeding and calling it that strain is pure marketing and greed.
Selfing a plant produces inbred feminized seeds, fairly simple to do with any cut, that’s why they are almost always fem seeds. but the offspring will be all over the place with the phenos they exhibit, some may be very similar or close enough, but that’s a game of running numbers of plants and finding it/them. Just look at all the honest work some breeders are doing to actually stabilize and produce GG4 in seed form.
Aren’t they located in spain or something? I sincerely doubt much of their stuff is real if they’re just bulk selling seeds in spain & aren’t getting verified stuff from cali. A lot of those Dutch & Spanish breeders seem sketchy especially with all the cup bs. I see a lot of people around here in CR using spanish and HSO etc… but I highly suspect the genetics aren’t real.
it’s a shame
I will say this we got our mmjs 2.5 yrs ago, we hadnt smoked hardly at all since we moved here 12 yrs before that, only once a year when we went back to visit. So far the 2 strains we tried that give us a buzz are from euro. Sorry if that makes anyone mad ,but it is what it is. We live in the states
as far as stealing business you should see when each one was established first. and supposedly HSO has a connection in Humboldt, same with alot of seed companies they moved to Amsterdam because it was legal. Some of those are moving back to the USA.
Well back in the day, almost all the seeds people were European bred, but many of them originated in the states. They do have an established business and genetics to run from in the beginning, able to breed and stabilize a strain before putting it out to market. Sensi and white label are really the first that come to mind when I think back 15 years ago. Problem is the rush in the American market, and growing and breeding for bag appeal and test results.
Super Sativa seed club was big until they closed down, they did reopen lol , infact not sure but it seems like sensi bought out SSSC’s gear as well as nevilles
You guys tripping balls. This ogkz is Fire! It flowered so fast and looked like it was two weeks ahead of everything else I’m running. The compay might be jacked idk, but the genetics are on point. And nobody said anything about blue dream seeds. Goddamn. Everyone just forget I even said the bag seed plant LOOKS like a blueberry!!! You gets crack me up. That’s clone only, lol. Its magic weed! ItS not real. Well no shit. But it still looks like it might be a “ strain that has blueberry like traits.” Is that better? No panties twisted?
wasnt trying to hijack your thread but i was replying to Seamonkey’s post
Oops my bad. I’m on the wrong page.lol
@Enjoil For the sake of clarity,
the hso blue dream is not genuine blue dream, and hso has no connection with humboldt. I’m glad to hear you found some plants you liked when you grew them out.
The name blue dream refers to a specific clone only, which is a known article in the cannabis community. it is widely known that hso misrepresents their genetics as bay area strains.
I’m just chiming in because this is factual information. People need to know this information so they can decide whether or not they would want to support a company that misrepresents its genetics.
Personally, I would probably go with a bay area breeder (like bodhi for instance) who makes hybrids using the original santa cruz blue dream clone.
Sweet! Thanks for clarifying.
I wast trying to start shit. I’m just not taking any. Dude pissed me off chiming in about some dumbshit. FUCK BLUE DREAM!
The man was just relaying the same info to you that everyone else here has. You should carry yourself with more maturity and respect. HSO are widely known to misrepresent what they sell.
We are trying to keep you informed, and not spread misinformation. The problem would be if you go to trade someone or tell someone it’s a particular strain, but your giving them a cross or something that’s not related to the one they think they’re getting. It’s to keep the lineage straight.
Blue dream aka Santa Cruz blue dream was a clone only held tightly in… you guessed it Santa Cruz from the early 90’s until around 2009-2013 it got out and now just like every other cookie,gg#4 ect… people mess up more genetics lines than you know. If you like it then keep growing it. Just know that it’s not the real deal.
awesome statement
