Yeah it’s going to be a nice seat in a few weeks time .
I messed with the 3 gallon Octopots last night .
Not digging them to be honest . Don’t like the big open hole in top of rez , don’t like the fact the level gauges don’t work even remotely close to actual rez levels and with leaving the needed airspace between water level and rez top they only hold 2 gallons .
When supplied level gauge says pot is empty it actually still has one gallon left in it, or still at 50 percent full! Yeah that was an eye opener .
I had to cut extra pieces from extra levels to add 2 inches in length to each and then remark the new gauge .
My fill levels have all been off and I’m glad I finally figured it out .
See no point in these now . Yeah way smaller footprint BUT same grow bag same size plants so need to space them out anyways . Fit same amount of 6 gallon octos in the same space .
In deep flower with plants the size of the ones in tent 1 I would need to fill rez probably every day . Kind of defeats the whole purpose . Suppose an auto fill system would solve this issue , and Octopot sells them or easy to make, but I like to vary my fill levels and these will really not allow me to vary much .
In a Mom tent keeping smaller mothers they would excel . In my flower tents they will have this one run and then put up or used as Mother vessels only .
Just an observation I do not reco these for flowering decent sized pants . Turned really small like 6 inches would work other than that they need to stay in a veg tent .
Need to tell Chris about the levels not working.

Cool. 11am, all my “plant” work is done. Rest of day to chill and play with my dogs 
The Clones loved their first short night, and all uber happy in the new (old, lol) tent under the 640.
Par was set to 600 umols, rez filled at 200% normal feed(no co2 in here yet, not nuff moving air in there yet) and they all gave up decent cuts this morning
The Mac1, supposedly a super “slow” plant in veg, had no issues here. She is nice, kept pace with the others, and appears pretty satisfied in my tent.

mom tent now under the GLS 300, and looking sparce these days, lol

Tent 1 set @ 900 par, backed down 250 umols, feed will be lowered next fillup. Next feed is start of flower food, The Urban Farms has done its job exceeding well as usual, now Jack’s takes over

My Haze you mean? Later in flower, when i stop pulling the large fans, i will jet some get big. They get stunningly large and long and graceful. The Mom to this cross, thorws the most beautiful leaf i have ever seeen . My cross sometimes does too, but not quite up to the straight beautiful Mom, Anmesia Haze Core

Tent 1 got it’s first fillup with Flower nutes, full rez’s for all!. Ladies are thristy, 38 gallons to fill up all 8.
I love my setup, sit on a chair, use my “wand” to fill them without having to move, lol! Works very well! Elvis approved!
The long wand with shut off valve on it , makes fill ups quick!
Tent 2 doing well also. Blissful Wizard and Wedding Cake are beautiful plants, and KICKING ASS!

Did you take the head off of the wand? All the ones I’ve been finding have the big head at the end. I have to upgrade. Tired of filling the Octo’s by hand!!

Yes, it came with BIG HEAD LIKE A SHOWER nozzle. I pulled it off. Put a shut off valve on the handle to stop flow while changing to another pot.
I filled my can with 40 gallons of water 3 days ago. This morning i dumped in the nutes, mixed them well, ran hose to room turned on pump. Less than 5 minutes total time to fill 8 pots.
Can and pump in my laundry room, 30 feet from the Flower room. Cheap light blue boat hose works well, been using same pump for 10 years, the sytem is simple and works a charm .
Fuck hand filling. I even use it to water my 2 potted plants in Tent 1 down the middle.

ive noticed as well that if you always top off your rez, when you fill it vs going half full or 1/4 full, the roots will grow in the bag more than the rez.
i started to feed reduced amounts and noticed more root growth.

YES, spot on, WHY i run mine dry between each fill. I saw the same thing on my first 2 runs with these. IF you keep at top level, plant does not use the rez much.

Reece’s and Milk Bone share a single Octopot…wanted to see how that goes, foing just fine. Reece’s is much bigger, but both healthy and kicking it.
