If it ainā€™t an original land race grown in soil it ainā€™t weed?

Thatā€™s like saying if it isnā€™t a pre 1912 Peugeot or Ford it ainā€™t a car.

I never said the $56 an ounce weed was worth smoking, but to tell me it will give me brain cancer is just fear mongering.

Nice totally-lucid manifesto lol.

Beer isnā€™t beer because roundup and indoor weed isnā€™t weed because ā€œchemicalsā€. Okay.

Those dang millenials with their ruffles through notes indoor weed and not going to prison for it.

I like my cars without the crank on the front to start it.

Donā€™t get me started on hybrids thoughā€¦I kinda agree with the rant on those

YOU JUST DID 14 PARAGRAPHS UP

Your all over the place dude.

Proof of such thing.

Dad, How Do I?

I didnā€™t need to learn this way because I had a caring stepfather who taught me everything I needed to live properly without the help of others. Also, living in the back woods of Maine, its rougher living here then big cities.

I donā€™t believe this is true.

An entry level house where I live is a million dollars. I am not exaggerating.

So to have this entry level house you need $250,000 cash in hand and then carry a $4000 monthly mortgage for 25 years.

Whatā€™s a starter house cost in the backwoods of Maine?

My point is that you have the freedom to not work an 80 hour week just to be broke.

Iā€™m not a millennial but I donā€™t blame them for opting out of the system.

They canā€™t afford to do anything except live with 5 roommates and spend a few bucks on vinyl records because home ownership is nearly impossible.

All adult metrics - house, kids, dog. All impossible

haha 38k 4 bedroom home

Iā€™m saying rough living because we cut our wood by hand, we do everything back here by hand, fix our own cars and stuff. We donā€™t have other people do our work for us here. (This is my opinion and life, and not 100% true by any means)

Also, my house is also built in the late 1890ā€™s. so theres that as well.

Iā€™ve often said Iā€™d be better at chopping wood and hauling water than I am at city life.

Thereā€™s a big divide.

I see my rural family with things like RVs and cottages and 4 car households. City folk donā€™t have these things because all that spare money goes to interest on mortgage payments. Itā€™s a swindle.

Iā€™m not envious of these things but it is interesting.

I agree that being self sufficient is an excellent goal.

But how is one to learn how to fix their own car if they donā€™t have a garage, driveway or field? Or even enough square footage to store tools?

They keep saying the bubble is going to burst but theyā€™ve been saying that for 20 years.

I know people who have uprooted their whole lives and moved away from their families and stable jobs and moved to tiny little towns up north because itā€™s the only place they can afford to have a house and thatā€™s important to them.

Even those are becoming unaffordable. And the winters are harsh and come early.
