This seems familiar- Seamonkey84’s first grow in 12+yrs

Keep at bay and get what you can from the flower tent for sure.

I’ve always wondered how long that crap stays in your plant. It is systemic, correct?

Systemic products that you treat the soil with to go up into the plant will be there a while, but growing out a cutting that was from a treated mother shouldn’t be an issue. But the sprays can leave bad residue on the surface, so not once any flowering starts, same with any systemic product, for bloom.

Sunday weekly update. I sprayed each plant that is in bloom with safer insecticidal soap, and tipped all the clones and mothers upside down and dunked them completely in the solution. While I was at it, took individual pics
The overgrown orange goji manifold plants, completely defeating the purpose of the manifold, but structure is still there, just needs lots of support

Then the big league Grape tester. She’s one of the shortest of the plants, so kinda being over crowded and not getting nearly as much light. Really not doing her justice the remaining 4 seeds are going to be sprouted in about two weeks, when the mites should be taken care of and they can veg for 3-4 weeks before bloom. Not going to over veg and waste time/space again!

Now all the Apollo 11/13 x Blackwater testers

The seed making seems hit or miss. That or the orange goji just take longer to show the hairs turning. Same pollen that seemed to take very well on the god bud don’t seem to have the same reaction on the orange goji.
Godbud- Fresh pollen took every well, no surprise

Pine tar gush from @monkeyman, and major Indica from @lefthandseeds on the god bud looks like it did well, both branches look like this

On the orange goji, not so noticeable

The Blue Oaxaca×Blueberry I got from @TheBubbleKing showed about the same on the orange goji as the other two pollen, but it has the same sporadic seeding on the god bud (no pic)

Also, since I had been a day (or hours) late in removing the male from the tent, I got some seeded preflowers on some of the other plants too.

I’ve had great success with neem oil fighting back spider mites, its organic and usually just one spraying knocks them out and its safe to use up till the almost the last week used sparinly

I may pick up some neem to mix with the soap, I’ve read that’s it’s best to combine neem with a surfactant to let it spread.

Used constantly in dispensary and commercial grows

Seems be safe enough?

Sorry about the mites. Thats a real bummer. Cant say i did not see it coming though with all those clones your were taking in. Im pretty much convinced that all dispos and nurseries have one pest or another residing.

I’ve also succusfully beat spidermites with just spraying neem oil over a 3 week period and also by adding some neem to the water i was watering with. The neem destroys their guts so they can’t eat anymore so even if their still alive after they eat some neem they can’t keep eating then they die. Just gotta stay on top of the spraying and get everywhere.

I got mites last time I got a clone and the time before that I got pm. Clones just carry bad shit sometimes.

I’ve been expecting it, that’s why I was watching out for it. But I though what I had would take care of them, but I got garden soap for now to drown them. Doing it every three days for 2 weeks at least. Then new fresh new cuts for the new tent.
The no pest strip I had in my quarantine tent was old, I didn’t think about that since I had it sealed in a container. But those are apparently useless on some mites since they’ve become resistant. So all new arrivals will be getting the full protocol 0 treatment, scrub down and stripped down to bare stem and growth nodes, rooted in quarantine, then examined top to bottom with a loop. But I have a feeling I will be doing weekly preventative sprays from now on, especially once it warms up outside again.

Just mixed a batch(Dr. Bronners x Neam) for the Orange tree out back, had some scale, ants and aphids, and Witnessed a big yellow and black butterfly laying her eggs on it.
Getting this tree fruit productive this season, Its been barren for a few years now since we came back from Cali.

I don’t have any fruit trees, but last summer I started several blackberries, raspberries, blueberries, and strawberries. I find it hilarious that we can grow buds now but black currants are still banned in Maine, at least in the souther counties.

Speaking of clones
Are you selling cuts?

Being in east coast as well
I know few ppl asked for clones for outdoor commercial runs.

Figured I’d ask

Yea Ive been thinking about selling clones, but nothing put together yet. Still getting my collection together and trading for more. If I do, I don’t think I’ll be putting out enough for a commercial size grow, maybe a few dozen at a time. But not sure since I’m really just ramping things up.

But that said, if you of your friends find NorCal Dosido or gods gift, I’ll send a cut of everything in my collection lol.

Also ,another great organic pest control. Nonpoisonus. As a matter of fact its recommended to drink a teaspoon full of it with your morning o.j. is DIOTIMACIOUS EARTH. Did I spell that right?. Very healthy to humans for consumption very deadly for bugs to walk on. In most of my grow room shots you’ll see it on the floors, leafs, and bucket lids. It is not a poison, its silica. . its like stabbing the critters to death, there’s no immunity to that.

Diatomaceous earth does help cure the issue of any mites getting into your soil, and then back onto the plant. It’s not fail safe, but it helps. Many mites have been gaining resistance to neem oil, although it belongs in the arsenal. I’ve been hearing good things about sulfer lately. Use it once for new clones, and once right before flower. It’s cheap and effective.

Rotating sprays is also a must. Maintain a calendar, mark it, and stay consistent with your spray schedule.

Yea, I know, I still have about 5lbs of food grade DE left hehe. I was thinking about mixing some in with the garden soap when I spray or dunk.

The thing with D.E. is it has to be dry. If you mix some in the soil itself its not pest control anymore, its a healthy silica additive for plant consumption then.
It makes the plant more disease resistant. And all around healthier

Yep, I’ve mixed some in with some of my containers before. Mixing it with water and using it to spray or dunk allows the smallest particles to cling to the plant, and as it dries it becomes a barrier, at least according to directions I’ve read. Otherwise there’s a very fine spreader made for the stuff. Just sprinkling it on doesn’t seem like it’ll be as effective.
