Tips on growing in a wet, humid climate

I have, I actually just made a post on the strains you want to buy thread haha. I’m good for seeds for this year fingers crossed with the seed run going well but I will always accept if you are offering and maybe I can bless you with something you want later down the road!

I say in between a pair of rivers, ya probably the best soil available

How close do these rivers need to be to each other or do you mean where the river splits or where it floods?

It’s all bottom land, been flooded and flooded again and again.
Very rich black gold loom

I’m always on the look out for areas around water courses where the flood water breaks the bank… good deposits of rich soil left behind - when the waters recede , I try and gather up that soil and use it to give body to what I have on hand , I used to grow in these areas years back , but I found there was always another dude with the same idea lol

Good spots hard to come by

Ain’t that the truth ole mate
More and more people searching the backwoods for that perfect spot these days

@Bob13 You poor outdoor UK growers, so much rain. Most of you end up with mold. I like the idea of fast buds or a whole boat load of autos so they can finish. Good luck.

Ill message tomorrow

Sneaky spot. Flooding makes it uninhabitable. Usually THICK cover too. Watch for fisherman, but fishing is great cover story. Harvest by boat and float down to car somewhere else.

It really has gotten harder to find good grow locations. . Where i am many of the old brush lots have turned into woods. Twice when going to an old spot someone had taken it. (Lucky bastards… i always left them alone. If i was a cloner i may have indulged in a sucker shoot tho.)Four wheeler trails are everywhere now from the downstate citiots. Maybe I’ve gotten picky. As i learn more and more what a good site is , the list of necessary qualities grows and grows. I’m ready for legalization!

I may have to farm the flatlands this year. You and olReynard are totally right. River soil is so good. 15 years ago i moved up 1500 feet in elevation, leaving my old youth sites behind. I may just do a canoe trip with gps and plant a few here and there. Digging is hard work… unless you are in bottomland that is. I remember how the whole spade would disappear with a small amount of pressure. The creek/ river edges freeze later too. However, both times i grew next to a river, i lost my plants to people

The strains are changing and becoming better so there’s many successful grows here. Even purple maroc used to sometimes hit the mark but yeah I’m jealous of you guys lower down.

I’m in the uk here and gorilla grew for nearly ten years.
Our wet coastal climate is perfect for botryotis probably only second to Ireland I’d say.
I’ve grown in deadmans land, little pockets behind trees that border main roads normally with a fence the other side to stop wildlife straying onto the road.
One summer I found a pocket of ground, a clearing behind some woods that was quite swampy and tree line behind me shielding the road from my spot.
I would not normally plant near marsh land (swamp probably wrong word). But I’d never found such a good sun spot which humans would avoid.
I’d battle botryotis every year with mixed results.
I had a rule they must finish or lose 50% before I pull. Absolutely no point pulling early here waste of six months work.
I did lose nearly 50% this year but the sun trap gave me 25% to 50% more quality bud than my other spots.
I found a product just too late to save nearly all crop bud rot stop tried since to find it again with no luck but have a similar product.
Never seen anything like it just stopped the mush, when you pulled a bud apart there was like a black line like scorched earth then all bud past line was fine.
Know it had baccicalus in it although through research it was probably another ingredient that made a difference that was one of my last outdoor grows though can’t risk it when I’m indoor

Yes autos work time them first second week of august.
But gorilla have to use larger autos as a lot of time you can’t clear all the ground as is camouflage.
The smaller autos stay to close to floor and can be susceptible to mold.
May put autos in garden this year as it’s too late for flowering from seed for me with temperatures indoor.
I have just popped 16 frosted cobra that I’ll sift through . A friend wanted some clones for about 6 weeks but since lockdown I’ve not been able to travel to pick them up.
I will probably give him the seed moms while I work with the clones.
So maybe my first outdoor grow in about 7-8 years we will see?

Used to grow Frisian dew, Durban from Dutch passion for reliability. Or early skunk works well better quality.
Then strains like early queen and nhs also grow well here.
But the later season here effects flavours , not so much though in the eco system of back garden.
If you are lucky enough to be able to work in a greenhouse well ventilated you can grow more exotic and even more so if you have time to force by darkening.
For super autos flash seeds have a good selection but may try a few ace autos this year

They do look good…

I’m sure might have been affected by late-season weather as well. But I don’t know the difference anyway haha

How is this product used?.. it’s a spray correct? Sounds like it would be nice to use early when mold just begins. Stopped mold dead in its tracks though huh? Maybe with a thorough description someone would know what product you are talking about. What were the directions? I don’t necessarily have any rules about when a plant has to go. I grew 25 Lebanese plants and twenty one of them rotted 100%. Out of the last four I was able to get 25% to 33% and still had to pull a touch early. And I was able to tend to the plants everyday as well. If I was at work and they got rained on I knew it would be bad by the time I got home. I agree, all the effort to grow a plant is not done for immature buds! Worst case of Bud right I ever had was a 12 foot tall diesel plant. I harvested a quarter ounce. Experiences like that kept me growing my own varieties

It was called bud rot stop, it looked like cross between vanilla and banana milkszhake.
By time I went to buy again couldn’t find it but got similar product in cupboard I’ll dig it out. Never tried this version though ps foliage spray with beneficial bacteria thinking it stopped botryotis reproduction was dinamite
