Top dressing autos in living soil with Dr earth

I use this Belgian heirloom bean “field vetch” that I can’t find anywhere else.

It has much bigger leaves and thicker stems than anything I can find online, it looks like a pole bean variety that can sort of, kinda, almost stand up on its own.
Yellow mustard also grows like that, in all directions.

They look like kidneybeans, any bean will do, just pick whatever one you like to eat, then you can grow some extra to make more beans to sow and you can cultivate them for eating as well.

I wouldn’t recommend bush bean varieties as they would compete with the cannabis horizontally, pole bean varieties will just drape themselves over the sides of the pot.

You’ll like this guide from the Northeast Organic Farmers Association- Massachusetts branch (NOFA-MA) about cover cropping we’re at 43N here so same things will apply for you:

Lots here if you want to dig in:

Fedco Seeds/Organic Growers Supply in Maine has a fanstastic selection of cover crop seeds, both by single species and then some blends that are probably more appropriate for us indoors or in a greenhouse/home garden.

You asked about a spring mix?

They have a cannabis mix specifically:

Summer rotations:

You really dont need the 222 you already have what you need its just split in two mixes Dr Earth is built to be very versatile play around with it and dial it in,One little tip if you can get a big black plastic tote with a lid from the dollar tree or walmart and pre mix your soil and add your amendments and water and let her sit and cook for at least bare minimum 10 days.I like to do a full two weeks myself i never seem to have any wierd feed problems other than the occasional Epsom salt Crackwhore like the Romulan im growing out now or the nitrogen fiend known as Frankie those ladies are in a league of thier own and definitely need some finess to grow.Im getting better each grow and it just takes time and a lot of fuck ups.Just don’t get discouraged and come back harder each time you will remember the pain in the Tutelage and it will come like breathing soon enough I suppose

This really is the key to growing organics inside. It alieviates a TON of issues. I’ll even toss worms in too sometimes.

I just found healthy nightcrawlers in my current batch i just turned over still squiggly a little slow because of the colder garage but if thier living in it that was always a good sign too me of some sort of microbiology going on.I break up and recycle all my dirt only problem is dirt gnats but those take about 2 weeks to wipe out with BTI so its not a problem.I notice i also have very very fast predator mites little white ones those little shits eat everything and give the gnats a run for thier money and gobble gnat eggs upnlike tick tacs. They die off when theres nothing left to kill it seems

What kind of organic potassium granules are you using? I’ve become a huge fan of langbeinite and potassium sulfate. But I’ve learned the hard way to only use the langbeinite if you need the extra Mg. Too much Mg will lock out the K.

Instead of the Epsom you could use langbeinite which is supposedly a better source of Mg. At least that’s what Build A Soil told me.

I’ll have to look into that but Epsom is pretty cheap

Sorry - I meant phosphorus.

I’m a huge guano fan. Just bought 65 lbs more while I can. I think Sun Leaves went out of business. Here’s a link in case you want some while you can get it. Pretty sure Grow Generation is selling their last ones.

They still have the Indonesian. $2 lb is an awesome deal.

Man, what a job… to shovel bat guano in a dank dark cave somewhere for a living.

What Batman did before he became Batman? :bat:
