These small sample sized branches keep falling off my plant… I’m thinking more CalMag.
Have you tried more Boron?
Day 102 and the trichomes and bud development is all over the place in terms of ripeness. I’m thinking I might chop this weekend sometime.
Played around with the zoom on my phone camera… notngrwat pics but yeah. Here they are!
Nice shots! I don’t think my phone camera would do that!
Ha I didn’t really look at them but yeah the zoom function actually works really well! Way better than I was expecting!
Yooooo I’m just catching up around here and this
This story is crazy!!! Wtf man… so many ppl are after the V! Anyway, I’ll continue reading!
YESSSSSSS BUD!!!
Chop chop. Day 103 (Just under 15 weeks) Mindblower Haze comes down. If I had more room and my stash jars werent looking bare I might let it go another few weeks to see what would happen with the reflowering. I am all over the place in terms of trich development, clear, amber and cloudy is all there. I want to thank Maha Kala from IC for sending me these seeds and being there for advice and support as I took them from seed to smoke. For my first go at growing a long flowering variety I think I did well all things said and done. Its funny I have been asked for cuts of the MB1 (the purple pretty one) as it looks really nice in photos, but I have a feeling I am going to like the MB3 better. People said “too many foxtails, no I want the purple one” when I offered to send both. That Metallic Pineapple Haze smell is intoxicating and I think it is going to blow MB1 out of the water in terms of weight.
It was a long haul but I have a feeling the finished product should speak for itself. At the very least I will have something unique to smoke on. Ill be back in 10 days or so for a pre cure smoke report. I will also be starting another journal at some point to document my C99 x BB I have vegging from PeakSeedsBC.
Excellent work , that’s impressive 100 days and they still look great , hats of to you : )
My money is on the green one too : ) sounds delish : )
Feel free to tag me when you do!
Thank you for doing what you do, very cool scrolling through here.
Much love.
Great job @TopicalWave! Looks sublime.
Been following along a bit but I didn’t realize you were from Alberta too!
This looks like a great cause and great job putting something like this together.
Tons of food banks having a rough go right now.
Thanks @ifish. Yeah I am pretty happy with the grow overall. I had a few hiccups along the way and MB3 especially was very finnicky but for my first grow of a very long flowering strain I think I did pretty well. Your grow is amazing too man… when Esko showed up with his Mapito, I realized I had been sleeping on your thread big time. Much love bud, thanks for stopping in
@Sativascience, Thanks bud
@Rogue Cheers
@taiga There are actually quite a few of us from Alberta! Just had a visit with @Fitzera recently!
don’t see too many indoor 100-day plants. I’d be curious to hear what tips/advice he gave if you’re willing to share
was it strain-specific or general stuff for plants like these?
congrats!
What I’ve picked up on growing these varieties is smaller pots, lower nutrients usually but there are exception. Also higher humidity.
Lower nitrogen is common as it will cause many to extend flowering much longer or reveg/reflower, but there are exceptions that like heavy nitrogen in flower. To keep height in check many will flower from seed or small size. Also shortening the light cycle an hour or two has helped some, but others feel it lengthens the time required to finish.
I’m doing nld type for the 2nd time currently and have gone against the grain in all those tips. My soil is heavily amended, larger pots, plants were vegged for a couple months and I’m lowering my humidity as I have bld types as well.
What I have noticed, aside from the fact I have 2 different phenos, I have one in a 7gal and one in a 5gal and the larger one has stretched and spread out much more than the smaller one. It could be pheno but it could also be due to the root space available.
Looking forward to hear how she smokes! And super excited to see the C99xBB!! Don’t see enough of his gear grown out.
Unfortunately I might not be able to get any Congo Haze pollen for you. He’s not dropping, pods are drying up, leaves are turning and falling… I gave him a shake just in case but the only thing that fell were pods…and lots of them. I’m going to try drying them out and seeing if I can get something out of them, akin to a reversed plant that won’t drop. Fingers crossed but I’m pretty bummed. I’m not too bummed on not making any f2s as I have more seed but I really wanted to hit a couple of the fem plants I have.
Another tip i have heard is to grow out a nld mother from seed, and run clones with little to no veg times, running higher numbers in tighter spaces
This is a very good looking harvest and I hope that the spring solstice vibes bring many more good grows The Doc
@jessethestoner and @Fitzera pretty much covered the advice I got from Maha Kala. I think the big thing is to respect the stretch! I flowered these basically when they barely touched the net and they still hit the top of my tent. Also starting from clones I think is I big thing I didn’t do this time. I think these longer flowering types may take longer to reach sexual maturity…I think clones help with that.
