The MassGas is insane ! That was my original purchase and the they sent me that and Southern Charm for a freebie as well as the Blue Angel (possibly a birthday present) they were very good to me,extras in every pack also
Peace
Some think there was only triangle kush and the rest are s1s other would say the white, triangle kush and kush are sisters. If you believe the Florida origins story then there was at least three cuts kept from the original accidental pollination. I would love to grow a legit tk to compare to these other kush plants but I have it on high authority that the majority of the tk cuts are in fact a s1 of the white passed to people in los Angela’s first and then to many of prominent breeders , people do have the legit one but it’s hard to tell until you flower them out , they look identical. I know at least two clone vendors who had the fake and accidentally passed it to many people , one of them has the legit one now but I’m not sure about the other.
Right the one I had and am waiting to get back I was assured is the same cut everyone else is currently using, docd/bodhi/csi/etc. The lineage is definitely super dubious! Not sure I believe the florida story, or any other one floating around currently. After smoking on her and hearing Caleb mention Pakistani Sativa… that sounds about right. I don’t get any indica effects out of that plant at all. Once you get past the forehead sweats and paranoia, can smoke this stuff all day long and never get sleepy. Incredibly complex smell and flavor.
I don’t think i’ve ever had The White but after having and smoking this TK, getting a cut of The White was the first thing on my mind. I haven’t had any luck tho. I’ve heard it smells like hash and not much else though? If that’s the case, I’d find it hard to believe the TK came from her S1’s… I’d sooner think the reverse.
Idk that I’ve ever had THE kush cut either, but the SFV and some other OG’s I’ve had hit like mids compared to that Triangle Kush cut.
More I grow out seeds the more I find it varies. Two people or commercial growers are not going to produce identical weed. I have had SFV that hits really hard. Nutes change etc.
I had The White a lot up in Washington - it was very popular up there since PNW is a Mecca of hashplants.
I didnt care for The White at all.
Bland hashplant taste and one-dimensional stone.
I can see how the bag appeal of the buds made it a big hit. But its not something I’d ever run myself.
I can see people confusing it with an OG variant based only on looks. But flavor and effect are nothing like a real OG.
Then again, there are many growers who fuck up their plants by overfeeding and using synth nutes, so I could see how that would prevent some from discernment between the two lines.
Gotcha… To be fair I didn’t grow the SFV, was Oregon dispo, but quality looked right. I’ve grown a lot of Nepali OG things and some other OG’s, as well as being passed bags. But still none of that comes close to the strength of the TK cut I grew out.
This is what I’ve heard a bunch, which is why I don’t think TK comes from her. Maybe the reverse. Maybe sisters. But again would find it hard to believe you’re getting this multi scented, really complex tasting(TK) flowers from a bland hashplant with a one-dimensional stone. The TK doesn’t have a lot going on with her high either, but there’s at least a bit there.
Every tk cross I’ve had has been straight fire and easy growers, bit stretchy though. Favorites so far have been black snow(black triangle x solos stash @anonymous4289’s work) and triangle poison(Durban x tk from goat and monkey) The espiritu sanctum(tk x trinity) was no slouch either but was taken a bit early so it’s not really a fair comparison. Haven’t had the original yet. Might shop strainly for a clone in the future unless someone has fems.
I think the confusion came from the While coming from Triangle and TK being Triangle Kush.
I think thats why Triangle Kush became simply TK, to avoid the confusion.
If you look at the threads on ICMag, people were confusing the two for nearly a decade
I’m not sure where the idea tk came from the white formed but they are sisters according to the story as it is told. Triangle kush , the white and the kush are the results of a accidental cross that occurred. Triangle was the mother in that cross , triangle kush is the offspring, the original triangle was a mystery plant from the pnw. This is if you believe the Florida story which I do because it lines up correctly and is the most agreed upon across a range of people who untill recently barely knew each other.
I was very skeptical of the Florida crew, and CornbredRicky crew moreso.
Then I asked about TK and the FL crew seems most plausible. But again, for them it all started with bagseed or unknown clones and then pollen from the seeds they got from A’Dam
Interestingly, a couple of the FL crew lived near where Barry Seal and his crew landed before setting up Mena AK. So that checks out, too
I think there will always be some speculation around it all , it was a long time ago and asking for specific details about something that was being grown 30-35 years ago is a tough one. I’m sure the lines that went into it had been around for awile before they got to Florida but anybody proving what they were even if they knew would be next to impossible. I could see a lot of different plants being possible candidates for the emerald triangle plant but from what I know the people who had it prior to the Florida guys got busted in 89 and they dident have any other connection to its origin prior so the details have blown away in the wind. They all seem pretty sure it came from Washington but a lot of herb was being imported into Washington back then and not necessarily grown there. Their were Thai and northern lights plants in those circles along with the real mass super skunk and some crosses of it but hard to realy say , probably best to best breeding.
Some of that old school kgb.
I heard, “The 5150 is a cut he hunted through these same seeds(his tk S1’s), it is the tastiest and most potent one he found out of hundreds he grew out.”
Just beans left of those, “3 fingers”. Outdoor pic
I just grew out 4 Nikah plants, from Bodhi. It’s TK x Old Mother Ghani…really big outdoor plants, lot of resin, bright pine OG smell. Amazing high, I have a fairly high tolerance and it cuts through and gets me ripped! My first joint of it I thought there was hash in it, the taste is almost piney, like a bright OG.
Don’t know how much of it is the TK influence but I can imagine it helps.
I want to try running Phone Home from Bodhi (TK x Wookie) next season.
good info, are you in a humid environment? i grew some cherry queen outties last year that had the same dad and they did great with monster buds but had to chop a little early due to botrytis pressure
Yes humid, wet and cold nights.
How do you like Cherry Queen? That’s one I eyeballed for a while and recently acquired.
They didnt like to get wet, huge colas, very mold susceptible, so my experience was somewhat based on that but there is a consensus it has very uplifting happy effects and bright fresh berry smelling flower, nice and functional if youre into that, very different than modern flowers. I would say a nice f2 of this stock would have some special plants but if growing outdoor be ready to do frequent mold checks unless you’re in a drier climate
Anyone find anything better than the TK in her crosses? I’ve yet to see that… So far everything has a piece of the TK but not the whole package, much less more than the TK. I’ve seen TK improve the outcross, but not seen the outcross improve the TK. Going to attempt reversing her soon to see if that makes any difference but my initial assessment is she is too heterozygous and/or recessive to be improved upon by a simple outcross. I’m betting she’s going to need a bx2 or 3 plus some line work to get there.
Speaking of outcrosses, here’s my TriForce #1(Triangle Kush x Kryptonite* #2) girl that came out the most like her of the one’s I ran. Still missing a portion of the terps and the forehead sweating, racy/paranoid inducing, high but has like 90% of everything else about the Triangle Kush. Greasy to the touch too.
