Starting to get pretty windy here now.

Yip, got some winds here in Fairview, pulled everything in off the deck, as there was a notice in the elevator that if anything breaks here it’s our fault and we have to pay outta our tenants insurance… Which is not good, as we have wrap around floor to ceiling windows all the way around the place and glass panels all around the deck… could get interesting…

Keep us informed, pictures would be great if you can post them never had the opportunity to be in a situation like that ! Had a plow wind a few years back that had the trees bent sideways minimal damage but was interesting to experience the strength of Mother Nature.

well i came out of this in much better shape than what it could have been.
i lost most of 1 plant and some bent over but pretty minor really.
i used 4" wide shrink wrap and wrapped the branches on the first ground plot
and let them lean over untied.worked great,i unwrapped them yesterday morning
and pulled and tied them back up straight and they did’nt lose hardly a leaf.i didn’t tie the other
ground plots and had some damage there.2 blown over and 1 split down the center.lost about 2\3
of that timewarp.here’s a shot of the tussed up ,qgc’s
therre is 4 in a row but it’s hard to see the others in this pic.
next is the other ground plot that took damage.
next is the same plot. the closest plant got blown over but i was able to tie it back up . the far plant is the timewarp that sustained no damage and the middle one took the worst of it. .next is just a shot of the wife’s sunflowers. 10ft 6"was the tallest
this year. considerably shorter now lol.

and last is just the side of the deck where you can see the leaves stuck
everwhere everything was covered , branches everywhere.gonna be noisy mowing next time as there is more small branches than grass i think . should make good mulch.i’ll get some pics down by the brook today , lost a few trees down there.
hope everybody else made out ok . there is alot of tree damage but wasn’t as bad as hurricane juan.lost every tree on my property in 1 hour with that storm.unfortunately now i have alot more trees as i moved to the country.
but all in all, i came out of this smelling like a rose. could have been a total disaster.guy up the road
had his plastic tear off his greenhouse in the middle of the storm. that would’ve sucked.i’m knocking on wood right now!

Yes definitely made out better than some. Have a friend who lost most of his garden, some plants were even uprooted.

Glad to see everything in tact and spirits high!

The sun flowers going over was guaranteed, I am glad the green house survived at least you know now its hurricane proof, for next time man. Hopefully once you get the weed plants stood up again, they will be good

frost on the east coast last nite.
here’s a picture of the temps. larger one is the
greenhouse.you could skate on my deck railing this morning.
fortunately i covered everything ,so hopeful when i go out
i’ll still be happy.

next is a shot of the redneck or red green greenhouse i built. not saying i’m proud of
it,but sorta am . anyway here it is without the plastic.

just went and checked and everything is fine.pulled the plastic back up for airflow.now the low for tonite is only 15c. so hopefully good until the full moon at the end of the month.

Quite the cold snap. Mine appear to be okay as well at first glance but theres a whole lot of plant to check still.

What do you do to cover them just drape a bed sheet over them? Burlap?

My wife said, she thought she saw frost on my workshop roof this morning. It was only supposed to go down to 6 last night. Frigging winter is coming in quick FFS. I have had a heater on in the flower room since last week as my temps dropped to 64F in their one night.

@TrevorLahey i went to ct and bought 10’ x 25’ painter tarps and taped 2 together with
tucktape. it held together for the first night so i pulled the sides up and let them breathe.

this is the one built with screen bar[that cheap bar your screens come in] .
really easy to work with ,but the whole thing would collapse with a small wind. pretty flimsy . only really hoping to use it on frosty nights . this is the red green version of that.

You can’t beat red green ingenuity, looks perfect for the job Trippy. I think it’s warming up a bit next week. I hope so I don’t want to have to turn the house heating until October.

@Shadey i hear you there . already had a small fire the other day to get the chill off.
maybe that’s just cause i’m gettin old lol.

well here is the update for this week.starting to fill the green house
with the outdoor potted plants. actually i’m thinking it’s officially filled.
i put the two purple kush that are in one big long pot in the greenhouse
yesterday as i was getting tired of dragging it into the barn every night .
this is freakin heavy when wet.i’ll do the green house first. kind of a groupshot.
the far left plant is cbd blueberry.this is the taller of the two, but the other one has tighter nodes and bigger buds.
also easier to look after than something that’s so tall.one to the right is one of two sebring’s revenge which are doing great.

next is 3 texada timewarp. they’re getting close to harvest.

next is blueberry from dutch passion.

next is cbd blueberry from quebec seed bank. also got quebec gold express from them and so far i’m impressed with the
quality. seeds all popped and grew pretty well as advertised, which seems rare.

last for the greenhouse is the purple kush for two.

that’s it for the greenhouse so here is the outdoor. first up is the red green type greenhouse.amazingly it’s still standing.
the closest plant is m39 x granddaddy purple[freebie with the qgc].seems to be a little later and a whole lot sativa.might finish though
or close.next two are texada timewarp for 1 and 1\2 plants. lost the other half in the hurricane.

next are the three blueberry cough’s. the greener one was in the greenhouse but didn’t like it. started to get pm , so i cleaned
it up and put it back out and it seems happy now. the other two are further ahead and were outdoor the whole season.

next is the quebec gold express . 2 different phenos it seems. one is taller \darker and a little further ahead. not by much though.

top shots of blueberry cough with a hand lens held over my cellphone camera.damn tricky to stay steady but here they are.

well that’s it for this week . getting close to the end. if i can get 2-3 weeks there will be a huge grin on my face.hope everybody’s grow is
finishing well.

time for another update. the season is winding down quickly.
started harvesting on monday this week . i trimmed all 5 texada timewarp,
one blueberry,2 blueberry cough,1 blueberry cough cross,1 timewarp cross,
4 quebec gold express and the 2- m10 x east coast sour diesel. been a busy week.
had a couple of people helping but can hardly move my hands this morning. weather has been
horrible for plants. either rain or 100% humidity. perfect mold weather. probably lost about 3 or 4 ounces so far.
but in the grand scheme of things it’s pretty minor.had a couple of sunny days this week but again really high
humidity.oh well that’s fall in the east, should be used to it by now,but i still feel the need to whine lol.
here’s some recent pics.this is the cbd blueberry ,not quite done another week i think, maybe two if i can get it.first is the larger plant.
next is the shorter of the two but is filling in better.and@ shadey the one marked #1is the taller plant, in case you wanted to see the difference.

next is blueberry.

next is a timewarp cross[pretty sure fresian dew is the dad] so close to done 1 more week hopefully.

next is m39 x grandaddy purple. freebie with the qgc seeds. it needs 2 weeks so we’ll see.

and then there’s the king tut which for some reason doesn’t wan to flush , still green as hell.
next is the 2 purple kush still need at least a week to finish.

next is sebrings revenge. it’s filling in quite nicely. not sure if it’ll
finish or not

next two shots are under the tarp in the backyard. frost next couple of nights so might be the end for them.see what happens.first one is m39 x gdp and the second is island sweet skunk x blueberry. bulking up some but definately behind.

last is some shots of whats hanging to dry.hope your harvests go well.
