I didn’t realize it wasn’t country wide. I read about someone saying something about growing in base housing in Canada and it blew my mind. Crazy that that’s ok and another province can say nope.
But yeah it’s hilarious to think a cop could knock on your door and say “do I smell plants?” and you could blow a bong hit in his face and “only dead ones”.
You could always just turn off the cmh and move it over. Throw an led vanity bulb up for the few hours to not interrupt the light cycle and keep the tent closed. Unleash a can of febreeze before they show and you’ll be all good.
I don’t know why it didn’t occur to me to just switch it over to the LED for a few hours and I feel dumb right now I could shut the tent cause no heat issue with the LED too so no glowing mystery door to see.
I’m in total disbelief that this hadn’t occurred to me but I’m taking some comfort in the fact that you’re the first person to suggest it to!
I am hoping for you bud. It pisses me off that a couple hold out provinces are still trying to dictate to people what they can grow on or in their own property.
You’ll be fine turning the lights off for 2 hours. Since they aren’t in flower it wont effect them much if at all.
I’ve heard of people keeping mothers on different schedules to save on lighting energy by turning the lights on and off periodically to keep it in veg without being 24/0 or 18/6 etc. As long as there isn’t an uninterrupted dark period long enough to induce flowering they will stay in veg.
“What a Plant Knows” is an interesting book I’d recommend with some good info. Really cheap too, or free.
Edit: there’s also 2 free courses on Coursera that use the book as material, that’s how I originally learned about it. A ton of interesting/useful info but a tad dry. Can’t complain at all for being free though. https://www.coursera.org/learn/plantknows
Turn the lights off and leave them off until the next lights on cycle. It won’t stress the veg plants at all. After Hurricane Michael came through in 2018 my grow rooms were without power for a week. The plants were fine a few days after the electricity was restored.
