Using Tryptophan to Delay Flowering and More

I saw this post over on the mag and was blown away. This could be game changing tech in a lot of ways

The “too long, didn’t read” version is that triptophan has a history of use in ag to increase flavor and aroma in fruits and veggies, and tobacco growers use it to delay flowering and keep their plants producing leaves.

This guy on icmag has so far successfully kept an autoflowering plant in veg and rooted a clone from it. You autoflower lovers might be able to keep mothers yourselves, too! Us outdoor growers with long grow seasons should be able to use this to get short-flowering or stunted plants bigger before they bud out :eyes: I’m kinda excited about this lol

@ManyManySpliffs this might be right up your alley! Hey @LoveDaAutos have you heard about this?

I saw the article but did not read it. I almost feel bad using STS to reverse plants and I think that’s as far as I would want to go away from nature.

Wow, this is a game-changer! I’ve heard of triptophan being used to increase flavor and aroma in fruits and veggies, but I had no idea it could be used to delay flowering and keep plants producing leaves. The fact that someone has successfully kept an autoflowering plant in veg and rooted a clone from it is amazing. This could be a huge breakthrough for autoflower lovers and outdoor growers with long grow seasons.
