We’re back at it again, this time with a tent grow under my belt. The last grow taught me a lot. Same setup. Same tent, light, soil, water, everything. The only difference this time is that I’m growing some of @vernal ’s gear. Garland F2 V1 (Scott’s OG x Golden Goat) Germinated 10 seeds. 2 duds and 1 set of twins later and I ended up with nine. This is what they look like at the moment after the transplant from the solo cups.
I can see the variation in leaf structure already, the broader shorter leaves are the more Scott’s OG and the longer thinner leaves are the Golden Goat leaners. Vernal told me the frostiest ones have the thinnest leaves so let’s see what happens!
They got a little big in the cups so they look worse for ware but I transplanted 2 nights ago and they’ve grown an inch a day since then. Let’s hope for the best.
I’m here for the long haul! I’ve got a pack of these, and I can’t wait to watch them grow in a small preview.
I bless this grow with the headiest of Heady Bear vibes!
For sure man, these are supposed to be killer. I’m a huge OG guy as of late with my old sports injuries so my goal is to find a frosty fast finishing Scott’s pheno with the smell and taste of the Goat.
24 hours later and I can tell a difference. The roots are already starting to explore the new soil. It’s always crazy to me seeing how fast they grow once they can stretch their legs.
Oh nice, pulling up a chair immediately! Glad to see more growing out his gear. He makes some fantastic selections. I’ve been trying to get vernal back over here. I know he reads occasionally still
I have a pack of the F2 V2’s and a pack of the Pale Flesh(mango Nigerian cough x garland) I wanna get too soon as well.
I have the V1 and the V2 but he told me the V1 is more likely to have Scott’s OG leaners in it. Also good to see you Angel! It’s good to be back on the grind.
His seeds are extremely affordable, a pack of 15+ seeds plus shipping is $30. You can either have an eighth, or potential pounds. The call is yours lol
I’ve only watered them once since the transplant because I’m trying to force the roots to search for water. They seem to be drought resistant. A little yellowing on the older growth from where they were rootbound in the cups but they’re enjoying their fun in the sun, they grow up so fast 🥲🥲🥲
I’m going to refrain from doing too much training until I can determine sex, then I’ll start the topping and LST. I’m hoping for 4 really solid females so I can transplant them into the 5gal buckets. They’re currently sitting in 3gals.
Here’s a little update on the plants, 3 of the plants have sexed as female and the other 6 are looking like males but I’ll give them another week to fully show their sex. Here’s a picture of just the plants and then the sex results as of right now.
Ended up with 6 females, so a 66% female/ male ratio on the ones I germinated. Not important but still interesting, I got more females than I planned on. I topped and stripped all the big fans off. They were easily twice the size they are now before cleaning them up.
