Day 25 of flower. I admit, I had to hit them with some salts a couple days ago because again I fucked up and added the top dressing too late. New growth looks fine.
Flower day 30. My pH was too high because my pH meter needed to be calibrated but I eventually found the problem. Just watered with 6.5pH water so hopefully things start to turn around. Only 2 of the plants (the heavy OG leaner specifically) have been effected. However the OG leaner is the frostiest one of the bunch but the Golden Goat leaner has the nicer, more open and stacked structure but no frost as of yet.
Had to stop by my friends house for some bud, for black market, this stuff is grown to perfection. The flavor, the smell, the effect! All top notch. Super stoked. Smoking a joint of it rn. Probably about a gram and a half stuffed in here. Two puffs in and there’s already a resin ring! The taste is very much so tropical. Cakey lime with a nice, noticeable amount of pineapple with a tart passion fruit finish. The effect on puff #3 is behind the eyes, moving from my chest and shoulders all the way down to my legs and feet. By far one of the most therapeutic strains I’ve ever smoked.
Edit: I’ve never really tried a Gelato that’s done much for me so I’m definitelg
gonna stick around for this one! have a gang of @vernal v1’s and v2’s
To close this thread, long story short, everything went to shit! I couldn’t control my Ph, so they all suffered from extreme lockout and just withered to sticks. I was so devastated (first real total loss in the garden) so I stopped growing up until today.
Looking back at this thread, I know where I fucked up. Notice how the ones in the back were doing better than the ones in the front? I didn’t feed it enough LITFA!!! I was chasing down problems that weren’t really there in the first place, making real problems outta nothing.
I did the same thing once before, too, when I decided that I’d use the watering regimen suggested on that no till thread on grasscity. Went way, way overboard with the fulvic acid and when the plants started to look fried, I went even more overboard haha, just like,”What’s wrong with these plants?!? They must need more fulvic!!!”
Never again… haha.
“Put more on, moron” yeah I feel that. I should have watered like normal and not overthought it, cut it down to 4 plants, transplant to 5gal buckets before flip and just chill. But I was chasing ghosts
Also I overdid it with the dry amendments. I was under the impression you couldn’t over do organic dry amendments. Turns out all that stuff breaking down at once makes the Ph fluctuate
Yeah, you know… Live and learn…
I’ll give this strain another shot soon. I still have a ton of them. Vernal always hooked it up with like 25 seeds per vial lol
