I have no comment on if this is common or not, I have seen a few pictures where a bug formed on the leaf, but this is , wow. This is AMAZING.

I have seen it a bunch of times so I would say it’s fairly common. Here is one I called devil horns.

I’d have to get up to take a pic, but the Chernobyl in my tent has a couple of these leaves too!
I’ve not had it happen to me, but I’ve seen some with a tiny bud there too!
