Weird tap root issue

Hi OGers.I Ve never had problems with germination. But,this month I am having all seeds with this :

I Always use paper towel, 27°C in my room so no Need to Heat more.
What I see Is the seed germs and the tap Is Just a dud,It doesn’t develop any hair.
No mold.

I checked with my microscope and nothing in the tap root.
Keep germinating seeds and everyone dies.
Those were made with a reversal and Sts.They are pretty mature.I stored Them in my room and the temperature has been wild during Summer.
What Is this?

I Always use paper towel method. Now,It has been 1 month that I germinate seeds and they end up like those up in the pic.The tap root Just stops growing.
I Ve not changed anything and never had sprouting issues on my belt.Never.
I sterilized everything with H2O2.
I am germinating seeds different than those I made to see if the problem are those.Nevertheless,my past grow was Just those seeds, they sprouted fine
@ifish

When I put soil / coco in cups

I get a small tub

I put in soil / coco etc

I add small amount of water

I mix soil / coco so it’s light and fluffy

I keep adding water and fluffing till medium is dark and shiney ( too wet )

I then add a touch of dry medium and mix / fluff it so medium is dark but Matt in colour not shiney anymore

I then lightly sprinkle it into cup half way ( so I can add more when seedling stretches )

I then lightly make hole and place seed in

I suspect medium too wet and compacted , maybe ???

Roots don’t grow if medium too wet / shiney = no air

Make medium as fluffy light as possible and not shiney

Even tho I Always kept my Coco moist when I put the seed with tap inside, this could be the issue…?
I let some runoff and yes I Always use perlite also
I literally have changed nothing.I m really getting made about it

My climate Is dry and hot atm with 27-28 C and 48 Rh.
Maybe hot temperature means less oxygen and my paper towel has been too wet…idk really

How many have you tried to germinate of these reversal seeds?

How old are these seeds?

Have you tried to cold store them in a refrigerator for a few days and then start your germination process? I notice better germination rates after seeds have been stored cold.

If you do manage to get the other seeds germinated and growing you will know the problem is isolated to these seeds specifically so good call on starting some different beans.

We ll see if they die, those are not seeds I made,if they have the same issues It means there Is something wrong with me

I don’t water over top of seed

I mix soil and tap and fluff it up as much as I can , then lightly sprinkle into cup , then place seed in without compacting soil

No need to water cup for a while

And when I do need to , I dunk cup into Rez 10-20% , ie bottom water

If that dosent work , it’s problem with seeds as environment and medium perfect

Then it’s the seeds : )

Nothing you can do but pop more

And start using fridge for storage in future etc too eliminate that from the equation ( process of elimination )

Checked the roots of all the new seeds…all of them seems to have poor tap…developing very poorly and seems like they are going to have same pointy dud taproot
I think I Lost 20 seeds :scream:
Or maybe they were not good.
Should buy fresh seed and do a germination test?
Maybe the weather ruined the seeds during storing?
FIY 10 seeds were sent me by a good friend here and were stored 1 month.
The other 10 were stored for a Year and got Them kindly gifted by @herojuana.tom
@ifish @Rhai88
What would you guys suggest now?It Is seed or environmentals In your opinion?
